Chapter 268
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
She thought to herself, âItâs okay, Rosalie. Youâre just in love with a man. You donât have to be with
him even though you love him. Isnât it enough that heâs happy?â
It was good enough for her. Despite the many unhappy things that happened in between, at the very
least, they didnât have a complete fallingâout.
As much as Theodore did many nasty things before, he was eventually punished by Grandma.
It was tiring loving someone, but hating another was even more so. She wanted neither to love nor
hate him.
Suddenly, Rosalieâs phone pinged. She reached over to pick up her phone, and switched it to silent
mode.
It was a text from Sebastian.
âAre you asleep yet?â
Rosalie replied, âNot yet, I just went to bed. Whatâs up?â
Theodore opened his eyes to see Rosalie holding her phone, looking like chatting with someone.
His eyes dimmed.
Who could be texting her at such an hour?
Sebastian texted, âYvonne wants to add you on social media. She keeps asking me for your
account.â
Rosalie replied, âWhy? What does she need it for?â
Sebastian texted, âNothing much. She just wants to add you as a friend, but I didnât give it to her. I
wanted to ask you first.â
Rosalie thought about it before replying, âItâs fine. Just give her my account handle if she wants.â
It was clear Sebastian respected her opinion very much. He even insisted on asking for her
permission when someone else wanted to add her on social media. He was reallyâ¦
Rosalie snuck a peak at Theodoreâhis eyes were shut, seemingly asleep.
Forget it, she thought. It was better not to compare. Everyone was differentâthere was no need to
compare anyone, otherwise she would be a snob.
Sebastian texted back, âAlright, then. Iâll give her your social media handle. But donât be too
bothered by her feelings. If she says anything that upsets you, just ignore her or tell me. Iâll teach
that brat a lesson.â
Rosalie smiled. âDonât worry. Yvonneâs a nice girl, sheâs not malicious.â
Sebastian texted, âSheâll be smug if you praise her like this. Please donât say that in front of her, or
sheâll boast about it for days.â
Rosalie replied, âGot it. But you really shouldnât be so strict with your sister. Itâs great to have a
sibling. I wish I had a brother.â
Rosalie instinctively glanced at Theodore when she typed the wordâ brotherâ.
She had a âbrotherâ right now, didnât she? Theodore wanted to be her brother.
However, she couldnât bring herself to see her exâhusband as her brother. It just felt strange
Within seconds, Sebastian replied, âIn that case, I have to treat Yvonne a little better. Rose, if you
had a brother, Iâm sure heâll dote on you very much.â
Rosalie texted, âI donât know. I donât have a brother and donât know
what it feels like to have one. Theo said that he treats me as his sister and wants to be my brother,
but I just donât feel it.â
Sebastian asked, âWhy not?â
Rosalie replied, âI have no idea. Iâll just let him be and let him think. whatever he wants. Maybe itâs
because our relationship will never change fundamentally, whether weâre married or siblings.â
Sebastian texted, âI donât think you two can be siblings. Thatâs just hilarious. Lovers will always be
lovers, and after a breakâup, whatever talk of being siblings is just an excuse to downplay the
mistake that was committed.â
Sebastian then added, âIâm referring to the mistake HE committed, You didnât do anything wrong,
Rose.
Rosalie hesitated for a few seconds before replying, âDo you think itâs possible for love to eventually
evolve into kinship?â
