Chapter 272
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Yvonne replied with a kissing emoji. Their brief chat ended for now.
Rosalie looked up from her screen, and realized that Theodore was still staring at her.
âYou seemed to have enjoyed that conversation,â he said calmly. Yet, if one listened closely, one
would be able to tell he was implying something.
Rosalie nodded.
âYes, it was quite enjoyable.â She put her phone aside. âWhatâs the matter? Do you have a problem
with it?â
âNo problem. As long as youâre happy. It seems Sebastian knows how to make you smile,â he said
in a gloomy tone.
âOh, that wasnât Sebastian just now,â Rosalie said. âIt was another friend.â
âAnother friend?â Theodore frowned instantly. âYou have quite a lot of friends. You canât stop
chatting, can you? How many backups do you. have?â
He obviously thought that Yvonne was a man.
Rosalieâs eyes glinted slyly. Theodore was really clueless.
She didnât correct him, but instead smiled and said, âIâm wealthy now, so isnât it normal for me to
have a few backups? Iâll make sure my future partner listens to me and does whatever I say.â
Theodore clenched his fist under the blanket. âIs that so? And who do you think is the
he most obedient among your backups? Is it Sebastian,
or the one you were just talking to?â
âWellâ¦â Rosalie scratched her nose in contemplation. âItâs too early to tell. I just got divorced, and I
want to have fun. The world is so big and beautiful. I wonât just stick to one fish like before.â
There seemed to be a thunderous cloud above Theodoreâs head. So, she was implying that he was
the fish she regretted sticking to?
âYou make it sound like marrying me was such a chore.â It was obvious that Theodore was
displeased. He said bluntly, âIâve already let you go, so stop being sarcastic.â
âIâm not being sarcastic. Youâre the one whoâs acting weird. I answer when you ask me a question,
and then you say Iâm being sarcastic. I think youâre just being petty.â
âYouâ¦â
Theodore felt a surge of emotion within him that made him very uneasy. He huffed and turned
around, then buried his face in the pillow like a child throwing a tantrum.
Rosalie blinked, confused.
Was Theodore angry? When did he become such a pushover?
Whatever! He could be angry if he wanted.
Rosalie lay down properly, and pulled the blanket over herself.
After a while, she turned her head and saw that Theodore was still
lying with his face buried in the pillow.
Wasnât he afraid of suffocating himself?
Fine, let him suffocate! It wasnât her problem. He was about to
become Cynthiaâs husband, anyway!
Some more time passed.
She couldnât help but steal a glance at him again. Finally, she couldnât
stand it anymore. She got off the sofa, and went to stand next to
Theodore.
âHey, donât sleep like that.â
It wasnât safe to sleep like that.
However, Theodore didnât respond.
Rosalie frowned, and poked his arm. âHey, Theo? Theo? Theo, stop pretending to be dead!â
Her heart started racing, and she pressed hard on his back.
âArghhhh!â A thunderous yell echoed through the villa.
The butler, who was standing outside, quietly took out his phone and -dialed a number. âHello,
Madam Jarvis. Mr. Theodore is yelling as if
heâs in pain. Please listen to this.â
âRosalie, if you want to kill me, just say so! Why torture me?!â Theodore roared.
