Chapter 336
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Although Geoffrey might eventually learn about her relationship with Sydney, her priority right now
was to save Sebastian. She would deal with this problem later.
âThe relationship is not the main point here. Whatâs important is that you believe her. If you still have
doubts, you can hire a professional to thoroughly analyze all the data. If I can figure it out, I believe
they can
too.
âRegent Co.âs methods arenât particularly sophisticated. They just took advantage of good timing
and the regulatory authoritiesâ negligence. Many companies are operating this way. They think they
can get away with it, but itâs just a matter of time before theyâre exposed. Iâm sure the shortâsellers
have already set their sights on Regent Co.â
Geoffrey turned around. âPhillip.â
Phillip stepped forward. âYes, sir?â
Geoffrey passed him the wooden stick, instructing him to put it back in its place.
When she saw the stick being taken away, Rosalie finally breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed
Sebastian was safe for today.
Geoffrey stared at Rosalie for a long time. Could this little girl be her daughter?
âHow old are you?â he suddenly asked.
Rosalie replied, âIâm twentyâone.â
âTwentyâone. Thatâs good.â
Despite saying that, deep down, he felt a hint of disappointment. She was only twentyâone.
Seeing their fatherâs change in attitude, both Sebastian and Yvonne were confused. Just moments
ago, their father had been ruthless- but now, he seemed completely different.
Geoffrey turned around, walked back to the sofa, and sat down. He
rested his elbow on the small table next to the armrest. He then held
his forehead with one hand, and waved his other hand.
âYou all can leave now. Iâm a bit tired.â
Rosalie was overjoyed. She grabbed Sebastianâs arm, and whispered, â Letâs go now.â
She needed to get Sebastian out of there before Geoffrey changed his,
mind.
Yvonne grabbed Sebastianâs other arm. The two girls successfully rescued Sebastian, leaving the
living room with only Geoffrey and Phillip.
After putting away the stick, Phillip made a cup of hot tea and brought it to Geoffrey. âSir, Madam
just called. She said she wonât be coming home tonight, and will stay at her sisterâs place.â
Geoffrey sighed softly. âLet her be.â
âSir, is your head hurting again? Should I call Dr. Zabel?â
Geoffrey waved his hand. âNo need, Iâm fine. Go on with your work.â
Phillip didnât press further. He just bowed, and then left.
The living room was now empty, with only Geoffrey sitting there looking desolate.
After the three left the villa, Rosalie stopped, raised her hand, and gently touched Sebastianâs
forehead. âDoes it hurt? We should get it treated at the hospital.â
The blood on his forehead had already dried.
Sebastian shook his head, looking worried. âIâm fine. But Rose, today youâ¦â
Suddenly, Rosalie was stuck by a wave of dizziness. She held her forehead, but then her body
swayed, and she almost fell.
Sebastian quickly wrapped his arm around her waist, steadying her. Rose! Whatâs wrong?â
Rosalie shook her head. âIâm fine, just a bit dizzy.â
âAre you feeling unwell? You seemed a bit off when you arrived,â Yvonne said.
âReally?â Sebastian was even more concerned now. âWhy didnât you say anything earlier? You
shouldnât have pushed yourself to talk to my father. Come on, Iâll take you to the hospital.â
Rosalie instinctively wanted to refuse, but then she remembered that a life was growing inside of
her now. Concerned for the babyâs safety, she didnât refuse and nodded.
