Chapter 90
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Though Cynthiaâs suicide attempt was a commonplace tactic, it was effective. It had really got to
Theodore. She as quite something,
huh? She could be so ruthless to herself!
Theodore tightly gripped Rosalieâs wrist, trying to drag her into the hospital room, but she stood her
ground.
âWhy are you standing here? Get in!â Theodore demanded.
âTheodore, even if you kill me, I wonât apologize to her. You can forget
about it!â
âKill you?â Theodore was exasperated. âYou know I wonât do that. Are you trying to resist me to the
end?â
Thatâs right. I want to see how far youâll go for Cynthia!â
Hearing Theodoreâs voice, Cynthia called out, âTheo, is that you? Are you outside?*
Theodoreâs hard grip was almost enough to turn Rosalieâs arm red.
âGet in.â
âI wonât go. Even if you drag me in and break my teeth, I wonât apologize to her. Watch me make
her explode from anger.â
Rosalie was as stubborn as ever. Theodoreâs eyes were blazing with anger, and it looked like he
was practically about to spew fire.
âRosalie, donât force my hand. I have many ways to make you suffer!â
A cold yet authoritative womanâs voice rang out, âOh really? Iâd like to hear what methods you have
to make your wife suffer.
The couple turned their heads and saw Sydney striding over in high
heels, her steps brisk and forceful. She reached Rosalie, pulled the younger woman behind her,
and faced Theodore.
âYouâre quite imposing, hmm, Mr. Spencer? Youâre threatening your wife because of a mistress.
How admirable!â
Theodoreâs expression turned even uglier. âSheâs not a mistress.â
âThen, who is? Are you saying Rose is the mistress?â
âMom, please donât cause trouble here.â
âAm I causing trouble?â Sydney seemed to find it amusing. âAm I causing trouble, or are you going
insane? What would you have done.
to her if I hadnât come? Go on! Tell me!â
âEnough, I donât want to argue with you. This is a hospital. Donât disturb Cindyâs rest!â
Sydney laughed. âYouâre the one who brought Rose here, and now youâre worried about disturbing
Cindyâs rest. Youâre really ridiculous.â
Suddenly, Sydney opened the hospital room door and walked in..
âMom!â
Theodore hurriedly followed, but it was too late.
Sydney approached Cynthiaâs bedside and said, âYou act so well, donât you? Letâs have a
showdown today. Theo, tell me, what did Cynthia tell you about what happened at lunch?â
âMom, please leave.â
Theodore was trying his best to suppress his anger. If the person in front of him wasnât his mother,
he would have been less polite.
âIâm not here to fight. Donât worry. I wonât lay a finger on your precious Cynthia. I just want to clarify
things. In fact, let me guess.â
Sydney thought for a moment, then continued, âDid she tell you that it
was Rose who contacted me so that I would team up with her and bully Cynthia? Did she imply that
todayâs lunch was Roseâs plan to pick on her?
Theodore clenched his fists, his face darkening. âMom, please stop.â
âWhy? We need to clear things up. No matter what Cynthia told you, Iâm telling you now that I was
the one who arranged todayâs lunch. Neither Cynthia nor Rose knew that the other was invited.â
