Chapter 29
You're My Mate (BL)
29 New School â Again
Leon
ââ
After the awkward incident two days ago, David and I didnât discuss anything about it.
He looks quieter than usual; I donât know if I hurt his feelings.
But now that I think about it, David must have felt awkward with me. I donât want to have any physical contact with him because Iâm afraid that something will happen to him or me later.
âCan you come to breakfast with us already?â
I immediately turned to where the voice came from while wearing my new uniform. âOf course, after this, I will join into the dining room,â I replied with a faint smile at David.
I didnât think that after two days, he and I didnât talk; David started to chat first this morning.
Without further ado, I headed to the dining room to enjoy breakfast before leaving for the new school.
.....
When I got to the dining room, Mr. Henderson and David were about to start breakfast.
âLeon, are you feeling better?â Mr. Henderson asked me with a big smile.
I nodded in approval of what he said, âThank you for your medicine so well on my body!â
âHave you contacted your parents?â Mr. Henderson asked as he motioned for me to sit down.
I nodded, smiling at him, âLast night, I just chatted with the two of them; they are very grateful to you for taking good care of me,â I said, saying what my parents said last night.
âDonât be shy; I already treat you like my son!â
I fell silent for a moment when I heard what Mr. Henderson said because I was still a little awkward with that sentence.
The three of us enjoyed breakfast before leaving for the new school; Mr. Henderson had all of Davidâs and my transfer paperwork done.
âRemember, you two will be in the same class later, David, donât forget to keep a close eye on Leon.â Mr. Henderson said as he opened the car door.
âSure, Iâll do well,â David answered without looking at me.
I sat in the back with David as Mr. Henderson drove us to our new school.
During the trip to our new school together, David and I didnât talk at all while in the car because I didnât think there was a conversation that needed to be discussed.
When Mr. Henderson stopped the car, I saw a school building that had a building so elite and so different from my previous school.
I widen my smile when I feel this school will be so much fun.
âThank you, Mr. Henderson,â
âYou two get along well; Iâll go home first,â said Mr. Henderson while waving to both of us.
I smiled broadly when I saw the departure of Mr. Henderson pull away from the school parking lot, unaware that David was no longer next to me.
I turned to look at the school gate, and it turned out that he was already walking in the same direction. With annoyance, I immediately ran after him while making such an ugly face.
âDoes the first impression of entering school have to be like this?â I said, annoyed, while crossing my arms in front of my chest.
âHuh, whatâs wrong?â David asked innocently.
âYou donât feel. What did you do to me just now? You just left me and left me alone across the street?â I said, still annoyed.
David stopped his steps then, looked at me with a chuckle, and then said, âSeriously, youâre annoyed with me because of that? Oh my God, you also wonât get lost in this small school,â said David looking arrogant.
I was still annoyed that he didnât apologize; I immediately walked ahead and left him there.
I heard his footsteps running towards me, but I didnât look back because I was still annoyed.
âHey, Leon,â
I immediately stopped my steps when he grabbed my left hand.
âDonât take it too seriously; Iâm sorry if I upset you just now,â said David as he walked closer to me.
In my heart, I smiled widely when I heard what he said, but for the look on my face right now, I couldnât be eaten by him. I kept pretending I was wrong so he would feel guilty for doing that to me.
âCome on, Iâm sorry; I wonât do it again.â Said David apologizing for the second time to me while putting on a face so pitiful in front of me.
I swear my heart melts, but I remain indifferent to him.
âI think the class is about to start; weâd better get into class soon!â I said, distracting myself while walking towards the class that Mr. Henderson had previously told me.
I could feel that at this time, David was smiling, walking to my left; at this time, the two of us were walking toward the classroom where the first lesson would begin.
David and I didnât talk at all, but I could feel that now David was paying more attention to me than he was a few days ago.
We both arrived in front of the first class; David and I waited in front of the class to be called into class by the first lesson teacher.
âAre you two new students in question?â
David and I immediately turned in the direction of the voice while nodding and smiling at the beautiful woman wearing glasses standing next to the classroom door.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âOkay, you two can call me Jennifer; Iâm a Language Teacher,â
âAh, okay, Miss Jennifer,â I replied, smiling at her.
âLetâs go to class and introduce yourselves,â
David and I nodded our heads at the same time as we followed him from behind into the classroom.
When the two of us entered the classroom, all the students in the class immediately fell silent. The atmosphere became calm when he saw the two of us coming.
âWow, so handsome,â
âHeâs so handsome! Surely he will be popular in this school,â
âIs the one wearing the black bag, Gay? I think Iâm attracted to him,â
I immediately widened my eyes when I heard one of the students say those words; I glanced at the backpack I was using and that the backpack I was using was black. Hell no! Why does he think Iâm gay?
âAll my students, Today we have two new students from the city of Ohio,â
The atmosphere in the classroom suddenly became noisy.
âIntroduce yourselves,â Jennifer said, smiling warmly at us.
âMy name is David Henderson; nice to meet you all,â
Everyone cheered when David introduced himself. I think David is going to be popular at this school.
I glanced at David as he introduced himself briefly like that. I should do the same.
âMy name is Leon Nelson, Nice to meet you all,â
When I introduced myself in front of the class, none of the students were cheering like before. They just kept quiet and focused their attention on David. Hell.
âHi Leon, Nice to meet you.â
I immediately turned towards the voice of the man in the far corner of this classroom, a handsome man with a broad chest and cherry-red lips; he was the only one who waved while smiling widely at me.
Deg!
