Chapter 1059: Who voted blank?
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
When William walked out of the room, Allen, who had been waiting patiently, couldnât help but rush to Atlas.
"Sir!" Allenâs eyes were glowing as he clasped his hands in front of him. "Wow... I canât believe my boss is now the COO of Pierson Corporation."
"I passed the interview."
Allenâs twinkling eyes dimmed slightly, and he scrunched up his nose. But then he shook his head and grinned happily.
"Congrats, sir. Hehe!" Allen giggled. "Iâm really happy for you."
"Why are you happy for me?" Atlas returned flatly. "I got demoted."
"Eh?"
"I used to be the CEO. Now Iâm only second in command."
But this is Pierson Corporation! Global Prime Logistics could just be their subsidiary!
"..." Allen opened and closed his mouth, and in the end, he covered his ears, shaking his head in disbelief while repeating, "This is a happy occasion. Donât listen to him. Heâs a pessimist, and Iâm an optimist. I should influence him, not the other way around."
Atlasâs under-eye twitched, shaking his head before walking past Allen. âHeâs probably just realizing how bad this demotion is.â
Not thinking much about what Allenâs problem was, Atlas stopped a few steps from where Zoren was sitting.
"What are you still doing here?" he asked, watching Zoren lift his eyes to him. "You should cut your screen time. Itâs not good for your eyes."
"Iâm checking the news," Zoren replied as he rose from his seat. "Have you heard from Penny?"
"Not yet. Iâll give her a call after this. Has she reached out to you yet?"
"No. Sheâs still busy, I guess."
"I see." Atlas rocked his head, smacking his lips. "Then, since todayâs job interview is done, Iâm leaving."
"Huh? Sir Atlas, arenât you staying to check your office? The ceremony is tomorrow, so weâre going to rush your office design based on your liking," Benjamin chimed in, blinking innocently.
Atlas tipped his head in Allenâs direction. "Take him with you. He knows my preferences. I have to be somewhere else today."
"Oh." Benjamin nodded, while Allen furrowed his brows. He asked, "Sir, donât tell me you got another job offer and youâre going to continue the job hunt?"
"Sadly, no one is interested in me as much as you think," Atlas casually set his eyes on Zoren. "Iâll be back tomorrow â and stop looking at your phone."
Zoren nodded, signaling Benjamin to walk Atlas out. Allen darted his eyes between the retreating Atlas and Zoren, who was staying. In the end, Allen jumped up and followed his boss and Benjamin.
"I wonder why no one gave him an offer? Even if Iâm not married to his sister, I would definitely send him an offer if he gets kicked out of Global Prime," Zoren wondered, sitting down again. "I wonât be using my phone later, so I guess he wonât scold me for using it for a little bit more."
[To: Penny
My love, my life, is everything alright? First Brother will officially start tomorrow.]
After sending that message, Zoren stared at the chat log. He waited for Penny to type something, but his message was left on read.
"Is she really that busy?" he wondered to himself, tilting his head to the side. "Should I visit her?"
Just as Zoren was weighing his options, since he had no other business today aside from this meeting, his phone rang. Even before he could see the full name of the caller, he grabbed it and answered.
"Hey," he smiled in relief, leaning back comfortably as he held the phone to his ear. "Howâs everything in there?"
"Well." Penny shrugged. "Some things came up, but itâs alright."
"Are you okay?"
"Oh, yes! Haha! Donât worry! The problem isnât that big. Itâs just that I realized the problem was too big for Stephen Bennet to handle. I canât let him drown overnight, can I? So, I have to adjust to some things."
"Ah..."
"So? Howâs First Brother?" Penny asked with interest. "He didnât screw it up, did he?"
"Of course not. First Brother doesnât screw up."
"Renren, have you been talking a lot with my second brother?"
"Hmm?"
"Youâre starting to sound like him sometimes." Penny smacked her lips, but deep in her heart, she was curious about how Hugo was brainwashing her husband into thinking that Atlas was invincible. She needed that just to make sure her husband wouldnât look at her one day and think that she wasnât perfect.
"Penny, is everything alright?" His voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "You suddenly went quiet."
"Ah... hehe. Donât mind me, my love life." Penny chuckled. "I just had some unnecessary intrusive thoughts, but itâs nothing."
"I see." Zoren rocked his head, relaxing his body. "Anyway, we did have a vote, and First Brother almost didnât make it. He won by one vote."
"Huh?" she furrowed her brows. "How is that possible?"
Zoren shrugged, smiling. "I... didnât vote."
"HAH?!"
"I was trying to make him nervous, but I didnât think there were so many of them who had sold their shares already," Zoren chuckled. "Otherwise, he wouldnât have won by a vote but by a landslide."
"Still, Renren, how can you be so reckless?" Penny pouted, narrowing her eyes. "Tell me the truth."
"Hm?"
"Does Second Brother sneak into our home at night and play with you!? How could you not cast a vote? Only Second Brother would make you think of the saying, you only live once!"
"..." Zoren knitted his brows, peeling his back from his seat. "Penny, are you angry?"
"Renren, how can you be so reckless? Thatâs it! Youâre not hanging out with my brothers for now. Theyâre a bad influence!"
"But Dad is the one who asked me to make First Brother nervous."
Hearing this, Penny gasped, covering her gaping mouth. âDad!!â
"Oh, my goodness..." Penny shook her head, glancing at the phone pitifully, as if her husband were only being tainted by her familyâs insanity. What she didnât consider was that she was Zorenâs number one influencer.
Had she forgotten she would even teach him how to diss someone?!
"Penny."
Pennyâs dramatic thoughts halted when Yugi knocked on her door and peeked his head in. She nodded at him before refocusing on the call.
"Renren, I have to hang up for now," she said. "Iâll see you at home later, okay?"
"Mhm."
"Love you!"
Clack.
"..." Zoren sat frozen in his seat, moving his phone from his ear and looking at it curiously. "She... didnât even wait for me to say it back."

Meanwhile, Penny casually slipped her phone into her pocket and walked out of her office. She pranced her way to one of the offices on the floor, stepping in without knocking. As soon as she closed the door, she looked up, only to see a few rows of long desks and people working.
She nodded at everyone before walking straight to the aisle. Turning around, she faced countless monitors that were monitoring the stock flow at the moment.
Her lips curled up as she announced, "Letâs start."
