Chapter 1113: That woman
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
The next day...
A soft moan escaped Penny as she stretched, feeling Zorenâs chest against her side. Turning her head with one eye partially opened, a smile curled on her lips.
Last night was amazing.
Under the moonlight, Zoren and Penny had lazed on the floor, surrounded by blankets and pillows he had prepared. They had watched the night sky, cuddling and talking about many things â not just their past, but especially their future. And, of course, Zorenâs main plan for the night had unfolded.
It turned out the reason he had chosen that dress for her was because he thought it might suit the floor.
The night had gone even better than expected. It was only their first day, but it was already going well. She couldnât wait to see what else this trip had in store for them.
Her eyes softened as she admired her husband.
"Renren." A soft call escaped her lips as she poked the tip of his nose with her index finger. "Renren."
But alas, Zoren groaned gently and pulled her closer. "Sleep some more." His voice was coarse and sleepy, making her chuckle.
"The doctor said you should take plenty of rest, but youâre not doing that."
"You are my doctor," he mumbled wearily. "Give me ten. Stay with me."
"Iâm not leaving." Penny propped her elbow on the thin foam where they had fallen asleep, her eyes still on him. "Iâm just saying not to push yourself too much."
Zoren partially peeked out with one eye, and his mouth curved up a little. "Iâm not pushing myself."
"What?" Pennyâs face twitched, gazing up as she imagined what they had done last night. If not for the sweet gesture he had made, Penny was sure sheâd be paralyzed in bed. She was just in such a good mood that she had the energy to spare.
Yet, he called that "not" pushing himself to the limit?
A complicated look appeared on her face as she imagined what he would be like if he were in perfect health.
Just as she was thinking about the surge of energy Zoren would have if he werenât considering his health, she suddenly felt something poking her lower belly.
"..." Penny pressed her lips together as her husband pulled her closer into his arms, pressing his morning wood against her. "Renren, I might be in a good mood and feel like I could swim from this island to the main town, but I donât think Iâd survive a round this early."
Zoren chuckled, opening his eyes to look at her again. "You sure?"
"Twenty-thousand percent." She slapped his chest lightly. "Give it a break."
"Like an hour...?"
"An hour..." Penny laughed nervously. "Maybe a full day â later, in the evening."
"Okay." He smiled in satisfaction, closing his eyes again. "Then, Iâll sleep some more. Let me know if you change your mind."
She might be a pervert at heart, but even she had limits. They had made love all night with barely any breaks. If they hadnât fallen asleep, theyâd still be at it.
"..." Pennyâs face twisted slightly before she shook her head. "Bathroom. Be right back."
With that, she smoothly slid away from his arms. Zoren didnât resist and let her be, then went back to sleep. Even when she had fallen asleep last night, he had stayed awake, watching her and lulling her to sleep. Considering they had finished around dawn, his need for rest was justified.
* * *
After a quick morning bathroom visit, Penny returned to where she had spent the night. Stopping by the door, she couldnât help but smile as she saw her husband still sleeping soundly.
âItâs already morning, but heâs still sleeping,âshe thought. âOh well, we were a little too excited last night; it felt like it was our first time.â
Penny didnât want to disturb her husbandâs rest. After all, the main point of this trip was for Zoren to relax and rest completely. Even though the original plan was for just the couple, it wasnât bad to have friends they could reach out to for lunch or make plans with.
"Hmm?" As Penny tiptoed back toward her husband, she stopped in the middle of the room. Now that the sunlight was streaming in, she could clearly see the room where theyâd slept.
âI thought it was an old observatory,â she thought. âBut now that I look at it, it looks like... like a study.â
There wasnât a working desk around, but there were plenty of books. Now that it was clearer, she noticed several paintings leaning against the wall. The television was an old model, which she had already spotted last night. There was a small couch â old, a little worn out, but clean. She knew because they had needed it to do some positions last night.
"Hmm... I wonder if this is Grandmaâs study," she murmured as she approached the bookshelf. Curious, she scanned the books, which seemed somewhat disorganized. There was fiction in the nonfiction section, and other themes mixed together.
"I didnât know Grandma was a little disorganized," she whispered. "Everything in the Old Residence is perfectly organized, and nothing ever seems misplaced."
But then again, this room felt much older than the other parts of the castle. It seemed as though it had been left as is, with only maintenance keeping it intact. If she thought of it that way, it made sense how this room looked aged but still squeaky clean.
"This book... isnât this the last book of the series..." she whispered, carefully pulling it out to inspect it. But as Penny took the book out, something fell out of it. Her brows rose as she watched it float down to the floor.
She squatted down and picked it up, flipping it around to see it was a family portrait. In the small photo were four people: Old Mrs. Pierson seated in an armchair with a young boy beside her. Behind the chair stood a man and a woman, both smiling.
"This is Grandma and then Renren," Penny giggled as she looked at the adorable boy. But when her eyes moved up to the people standing behind them, her smile faded slightly. "This is... his father and then... the person they all call âthat woman.â"
