Chapter 425: Let’s eat more later.
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
Minutes earlier...
"Ackâ" the unsuspecting bodyguard flinched when someone suddenly appeared behind him. But before he could say anything, a sharp pain struck between his shoulder and neck, and his vision dimmed.
Thud.
"Oopsie." Penny covered her lips, instinctively catching the man before lowering her arm and letting him drop to the floor.
As the bodyguardâs unconscious body hit the ground mildly, Renny approached, mouth open, but stopped when Penny whistled.
"Psst!" Penny clicked her tongue three times to get the pantherâs attention. She raised a finger and shook it from side to side. "No biting. He hasnât done anything bad to us."
Rennyâs ears drooped a little, thinking, âBut you said it was time to have fun, Mom!â
Penny leaned against the wall and tilted her head to check if anyone else was nearby. Seeing no one, her lips stretched into a grin. She turned back to Renny, still smiling.
"Blacky, letâs go!" she urged, sprinting toward the unguarded back door. "No one is around â come!"
When they reached the back door of the residence, Penny looked around like a mischievous thief. Pleased that she hadnât been caught yet, she cast Renny a quick glance.
"Quiet," she whispered, her fingers in front of her grinning mouth. "Okay?"
Renny didnât make a sound and he just watched as Penny reached for the knob. Her grin widened as she twisted it, delighted to find it wasnât locked. Carefully, she pushed the door open.
It creaked ever so slowly. Perhaps even louder than it should.
Just when Penny and Renny thought everything was going smoothly, they realized they were wrong. The moment Penny opened the door, there were at least seven men eating inside. She had stumbled into a separate dirty kitchen where some of the bodyguards, who were supposed to take the night shift, were enjoying a well-deserved break.
They were all eating.
When the door opened, they instinctively turned toward it, some still holding their spoons halfway to their mouths. Deep lines formed between their brows as they stared at Penny, assessing her from head to toe.
"What is she doing here...?" someone murmured under his breath, knowing Penny hadnât been at the residence tonight.
But alas, while they were confused by Pennyâs sudden appearance, Penny mistook this for being caught.
"Hi." Penny raised a hand, smiling. "Good evening. Go on, continue eating. Just passing by â hehehe."
She reached for the knob to close the door. However, just as she was halfway there, one of the guards spoke up.
"Hey!" he called, approaching Penny to see if she was alright. "Are you okâ"
But alas...
Sensing his approach, a dangerous glint flickered across her eyes. It made all the alarm bells in her head whir. When the bodyguard reached out, she swiftly grabbed his arm, catching him off guard. She flipped him over her shoulder, slamming him onto the floor.
"Blacky!" she called, tipping her head toward the room. "Go!"
Renny let out a low growl, eyes gleaming malevolently as he stared down at the men inside. Their hearts pounded as they met the pantherâs hungry gaze. Before they could even process what Penny had just done to one of her own, their survival instincts kicked in.
Renny leaped inside, causing chaos, and forcing everyone to either defend themselves or flee. Meanwhile, Penny released the manâs arm and looked down at him.
"Argh..." The man clutched his shoulder, wincing. He peeked up at her, shuddering as their eyes met. "Miss... Penny?"
Penny smiled sweetly. "Sorry."
"Huh?"
The next thing the man knew, her knuckles were flying straight toward his face. She knocked him out with a single blow.
Penny blew on her knuckles, glancing into the room. She grinned as some of the men fled to the other exit, while others were unfortunately caught by Renny. Though Renny didnât bite them, he tore at their clothes with his sharp teeth.
Her eyebrows raised when she noticed a figure in the corner. Seeing the man approach Renny, seemingly intent on tackling her "kitten," Penny looked down at the unconscious man near her feet. Without hesitation, she grabbed his shoe and hurled it like a boomerang.
"Renny, stopâ" The man, who was about to tackle Renny, felt something hit his forehead. "Ouch!"
Instinctively, he touched his forehead, but the brief pause was enough for Renny to shift his focus. The man barely had time to react before he met the pantherâs eyes.
"Uh oh," he muttered, just before Renny pounced on him.
Clang!
Thud!
Renny bit the manâs shoulder, but didnât pierce the skin. Instead, the panther shredded his clothes. The pantherâs weight knocked him out, and Renny stepped off of him when he passed out.
"Hehe. Blacky!" Penny nodded approvingly as the panther ran back to her for a pat. "Good job, Blacky!"
Squatting down, she ruffled Rennyâs neck affectionately. "I think weâre gonna be great partners in crime. Letâs stay together forever, Blacky!"
Renny nudged her happily, making her chuckle as his breath tickled her ear. After their brief celebration, Pennyâs attention shifted to the room. The dirty kitchen now looked like it had been turned upside down, thanks to Rennyâs size and movements.
At least four men lay unconscious on the floor. There was no blood â just knocked out bodies.
"Great!" Penny jumped to her feet, beaming. "Well, I guess weâre caught now, arenât we?"
Renny looked up at her, seemingly unconcerned about being caught. As they stared at each other, they both perked up at the sound of hurried footsteps approaching.
"Yep, weâre caught." Penny sighed and smiled down at Renny. She then raised a finger, lecturing him. "Aside from no biting, there are no other rules, okay? Theyâre not my targets."
Renny nodded in understanding. Then Penny sniffed the air, her eyes lighting up mischievously. She jumped over to the stove in the corner and opened a pot, grinning as she fished out two pieces of meat. She bit into one and tossed the other to Renny.
"Blacky, catch!" Her eyes twinkled as she grinned. "Letâs eat more later... after we play."
