Chapter 608: Girl’s night
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
Falling in love with a lie was the scariest thing they had heard. Although Ginnie and Grace were currently not in a relationship, hearing Lilyâs remarks sparked a newfound awareness of men in them. Penny was the only one who wasnât scared, knowing her husband was the best and would always be the best. However, Nina felt the most terrified. Even so, she didnât show it and simply smiled meekly.
"Oh, Lily! Never mind! Letâs get married!" Ginnie exclaimed, hugging Lily as the latter started to tear up. Lily chuckled through her tears, tapping Ginnieâs arm.
"We should!" Lily sniffled, hugging Ginnie back. "Oh, Ginnie, can you now see my broken heart?"
"Please donât show me your breast."
"But theyâre good!" Lily frowned, hesitation flickering in her teary eyes. "Are they not?"
"Did you have a boob job?"
"You think I did?" Lily happily cupped her breasts, making Penny and Grace shake their heads.
Nina, on the other hand, kept her lips pressed into a thin line. She maintained this meek smile, reaching out for her drink in hopes the glass would help her get rid of the seed of fear in her heart. Much to her surprise, Penny reached out to hold her hand.
Turning her head to Penny, she saw the latter offer her a reassuring smile. Nina let out a shallow breath, knowing Penny was aware that Nina had lied. Yet Penny didnât press the matter. That alone was something Nina appreciated.
âI wonât think about this for now,âshe thought. âI trust Finn, and Iâm sure he has a reason why he lied to me tonight.â
With that thought in mind, Ninaâs smile stretched as she and Penny refocused their attention on the girls.
"This is not it!" Ginnie clapped, looking at the ladies around the table. "Weâre here tonight because of Penny â I donât know or probably forgot why she even hosted tonightâs party. Doesnât matter! Tonight is girlsâ night, and we will make the best of it!"
The corners of their mouths stretched from ear to ear, knowing what Ginnie meant by that.
"So!" Ginnie slowly pushed herself up, watching all of them lift their eyes at her. "How about we party, eh?! This private room is too private â I want to get wild!"
"Oh, my goodness..." Grace chuckled, taking another sip of her drink before she also got up. "Letâs do it. I think Iâm now in the mood."
Lily didnât wait a second; she giddily jumped to her feet, making her perfect mounds bounce. Seeing how her breasts bounced made Ginnie scrunch up her nose, covering her chest, which was as flat as the highway.
"Tonight is girlsâ night!" Lily announced, unaware of Ginnieâs sudden insecurity. "Letâs have fun and find boys."
"I donât need boys," Penny lazily remarked, not having the energy to get up.
Nina chuckled. "Penny, donât be such a killjoy. Letâs go."
"Yeah. Penny, how come youâre not as fun anymore?" Lily inquired, making Grace and Ginnie tilt their heads to the side.
The two women found themselves asking the same question: "Since when was she fun?" However, their question was ignored by Lily and Penny. Penny knew she wasnât the fun type, and she accepted that. Lily was the only person who believed she was fun.
"Come on, come on!" Lily jumped to Pennyâs side, dragging her arm with her. Penny lazily let her friends pull her to wherever they thought was the fun place in this club.
As they did so, Penny had only one thought in mind: âI shouldâve hosted the party at home or Mamaâs. No, not Mama. Aunt Jessa would be one of the people dragging me as well.â
Regardless of Pennyâs reluctance, she found herself on the dance floor with her friends, dancing to their heartâs content. Initially, she started swaying just to blend with the crowd before she eventually found herself having fun with her friendsâ vibrant energy.

Meanwhile...
The sound of Zorenâs punches against Hugoâs punching mitts echoed in the ring. He launched another three punches before he stopped when Hugo suddenly slapped the mitts together.
"Hmm?" Zorenâs brows rose as he gazed at his brother-in-law, who was straightening his back. "Are we done now?"
"No." Hugo furrowed his brows and let out another deep sigh. "Hey, tell me. Whatâs wrong with my sister?"
"Huh?"
"Penny has been acting strange," Hugo remarked, which automatically reminded Zoren of how Penny had been behaving.
In the past several days, Penny had been drinking and letting her alter ego take charge. She was so generous that she would even let the drunk Penny handle her day work. However, the drunk Penny would finish that task at home before she would leave to go wherever she wanted.
"Just not long ago, First Brother called me, telling me Penny dropped by his office," Hugo shared. "Do you know what she did there?"
"I donât," Zoren replied quickly, holding back the rest of his sentiments. âAnd I donât want to know.â
"She went to First Brotherâs office and just stood in front of his desk for a good three minutes," Hugo explained. "First Brother said she didnât even say a word to him. She just stood there, staring at his face, and then she left!"
"Oh... my wife probably misses him but didnât have the time to express that," Zoren reasoned, trying to force a smile. However, getting used to not smiling made his expression look strange. âItâs good that she didnât do or say anything to him, though?â
"And then, one time, she went to see Mama. Mom said Penny ordered everything from the menu," Hugo added. "Aunt Jessa was so angry at her, but then Penny said sheâd pay for every meal for any homeless people who would come there!"
"My wifeâs charitable."
"Too charitable, to the point that now homeless people were lining up outside Mamaâs."
"..."
"And then, Slater!"
Zoren blinked. "Did she do something to him?"
"No!" Hugo exclaimed. "Sheâs not doing anything to him, actually. Or rather, she has been exchanging messages with him quite a lot. Slater is even sending their exchanges to me and First Brother to brag about how Penny bombards him with messages and selfies!"
"Oh..." Zoren nodded in understanding, reminded that the drunk Penny was quite... vain. âI didnât know she was sending them to Third Brother.â
Hugo shook his head and sighed. "Sheâs being strange."
"Penny is just... probably going through some realization in life," Zoren remarked, not even sure what he meant by that. "Sheâs not doing any harm. Call it character development."
"Yeah, but these are things she wouldnât do." Hugo frowned. "She even bought me this talisman, telling me it would repel bad spirits and keep me safe!"
"Sheâs caring."
"And now sheâs at the bar with her friends!" Hugo snapped his eyes at Zoren, only to see the latter raise his brows. "You are surely relaxed, huh?"
"Penny is with her friends. Sheâs a capable woman, and I trust her completely."
"Penny is very capable, and I also trust her. Do you know what I donât trust?" Hugo cocked his head to the side. "The people in a nightclub. Penny isnât one to be tempted, but Iâm afraid that some drunkard might pester her, not knowing he might end up in the emergency room. And Iâm talking about the sober Penny; itâs a different case with the drunken one."
Silence quickly fell between the two of them as realization struck Zoren like thunder.
