Chapter 691: Lovelife, you’re the best~!
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
"Sir." A man in a suit called out, his eyes on the man seated in the wing chair, which was facing the empty fireplace. When the man in the chair slightly moved his head, the standing man approached and stopped just a step behind him.
Leaning forward, he whispered something to the seated man. Once he finished, he straightened his back.
"Hah..." The seated man let out a hum, tilting his head in understanding. The corner of his mouth curled in amusement. "Let it be."
"But they said they canât recover all the files, and even if they do, it could take monthsâmaybe even a year or two."
The man in the chair nodded. "And let them be. Burn them all completely. Iâm certain that fixing even a few of those devices will backfire on us."
"Yes, sir." The man standing behind him bowed his head. "Iâll send the message immediately."
The man in the chair remained silent as the other turned to leave. However, the latter paused when his boss spoke again.
"You said it was the flash drive?"
The other man slowly looked back and nodded. "Yes, sir. The one Sven Bennet sent us."
"Interesting." The man in the wing chair waved dismissively, and the other man bowed once more before walking away. Left alone, the man in the chair squinted at the hearth, intrigued.
"Penelope Bennet..." He tilted his head, chuckling softly to himself. "How interesting."

Benjamin and Angel quickened their pace, trying to match Zorenâs long strides, which were more akin to a run. They exchanged puzzled looks, having no idea what had prompted Zoren to move so quickly after his recent "meeting."
"Sirâ" Benjamin began, only to stop abruptly when Zoren spun around to face him. "What... what is it?"
âAm I in trouble?â Benjamin wondered, seeing the impatience and displeasure in Zorenâs expression. He had been asked to stay out of the meeting, so he had no idea what had transpired.
But instead of the reprimand he expected, Benjamin heard something entirely different.
"Ready the car for me," Zoren ordered. "And schedule an emergency meeting with Miss Bennet."
"Ohâof course." Benjamin blinked, turning to carry out the request, but before he could move, a staff member from the CEOâs office rushed over.
"Sirâ" The female staff member slowed down as she approached, straightening up as she stood in front of both her boss and the CEO. "You have a visitor. Miss Penelope is waiting for you in the office."
Zoren, Angel, and Benjamin furrowed their brows. Zoren had just planned to visit his wife, yet it seemed she had beaten him to it.
"Iâll be right there." Zoren nodded, glancing at Benjamin. "I guess you wonât need to arrange the car."
"Yes, sir..." Benjamin trailed off, watching his boss walk away, escorted by the assistant back to his office.
"Whatâs wrong with him?" Angel leaned in toward Benjamin, who could only shrug.
"I have no idea," Benjamin replied, narrowing his eyes. "But somethingâs up. Iâm sure theyâre up to something."
Angel silently agreed, though he arched a brow at Benjamin.
"Why do you sound like a suspicious husband catching on to his wifeâs secrets?" Angel teased. "You sound like a villain."
"Iâm not a villain," Benjamin grinned. "Just... nosy!"
With that, Benjamin quickly ran to catch up with Zoren and the staff. Angel, on the other hand, shook his head in amusement.
"If I didnât know for certain that heâd die for his boss, Iâd tell him to stop being such a busybody," Angel muttered to himself as he leisurely followed, his post being right outside Zorenâs office.
Meanwhile, Zoren didnât slow down as he approached his office door. Upon entering, his eyes landed on the figure seated on the couch. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
As soon as the door clicked shut, Benjamin arrived and tried to open it, only to find it locked.
"What?" Benjamin gasped, glaring at the door. "He locked me out?"
"Forget it," Angel said, strolling past him. "Just do your job and donât waste the companyâs money."
Benjamin frowned, muttering under his breath, "But I miss Miss Penny," before clicking his tongue and dragging his feet away.
Angel could only shake his head as he watched Benjamin sulkily return to his desk. "Iâll never understand how that guy lasted this long in this environment."

Zorenâs smile broadened as he walked toward the figure on the couch.
"Hey," he called, going straight to Penny. Bending over, he rested a hand on the backrest of the couch, his shadow falling over her. "I was just about to come see you."
Penny pressed her lips together, smiling. "I came here for business. Donât seduce me."
"Charm works well in negotiations," he shrugged. "Thought Iâd test my luck, just in case I need more of it today."
"Haha. Funny." Penny raised a brow as he sat down beside her. "Shouldnât you be sitting over there?"
"Still testing my luck," Zoren winked, nearly giving her a heart attack with how charming he was. "Moreover, Iâd like to save us the trouble and get my rewards fast."
Penny sighed, leaning back slightly and turning to face him. "Itâs unfair when I canât use my looks to charm you."
"You donât have to."
"Right." Penny cleared her throat, her brows lifting as she grinned. "So? How did it go? Mark said you followed their trail."
"I did, but they quickly caught on to the flash drive."
"I see."
"Donât worry," Zoren reassured her. "They may have realized it a second too soon, but I still left them a parting gift."
"A gift?"
The corner of Zorenâs mouth lifted higher. "I destroyed their system. They wonât be able to use it for a while... or maybe, never," he said, giving her a meaningful look. "I heard you have security software available. Should I connect you with someone I know to auction it off?"
"No need." Pennyâs smile widened as she jumped toward him, planting a kiss on his cheek. "I know someone! Lovelife, youâre the best~!"
