Chapter 709: I won’t tell a soul about it.
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
Butler Jen waited for the brothers to return, feeling a slight worry. However, when he saw Atlas smiling while Slater chattered in his ear, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Why am I so worried?" he wondered to himself, smiling. "Iâve never seen them fight."
Well, everyone in this household had seen Penny and Slater fight. They argued all the time; there wasnât a day when Penny came home and didnât pick a fight with him. It had always been like that, but no matter how intense their fights got, Penny and Slater would always make up.
"It seems like everything is settled," Butler Jen greeted the two as they approached the kitchen entrance from the garage.
"Settled?" Slater scrunched up his nose and glared at Atlas. "I havenât forgiven him."
Atlas, on the other hand, ignored Slater and smiled at Butler Jen. "Iâll be in my room for a short break, but Iâll have to leave in an hour."
"Oh. Should I prepare your lunch, First Young Master?"
"No need for that." Atlas shook his head. "I just told you so you donât have to prepare lunch for me."
"Oh... okay." Butler Jen nodded as Atlas walked away. "First Young Master, should I call your driver back?"
Atlas halted and glanced over his shoulder. "Thereâs no need for that. Iâm driving myself to the office today."
"Oh, alright..." Butler Jen nodded as Atlas resumed his steps, walking away from them.
Both Butler Jen and Slater didnât ask questions, as there were days when Atlas would drive himself to the office. It wasnât that he wouldnât use a driver; they had just grown used to Atlasâs habits. Thus, when Atlas was out of sight, Butler Jen faced Slater.
"Third Young Master, your desserts are still on the table. Should I replace them with a new batch?"
"Nope!" Slater shook his head. "Iâm off somewhere. My First Brother ruined my mood by criticizing my car. Iâll just get angry if I stay and think about his audacity."
Butler Jen smiled wryly, tilting his head to the side. "Please be patient with your First Brother. Iâm sure that even though heâs not showing it, he is very worried about what happened to Sir Allen."
"Thatâs why Iâm being lenient with him, hmp!"
"Third Young Master, why was he looking for your car, though?" Butler Jen asked, only to see Slater shrug.
"Heâs losing his mind, thatâs all." Slater beamed at him before jumping to Butler Jenâs side. "Please look after him and stay away from him for now. First Brother is starting to lose it."
"Haha." Butler Jen chuckled, only to remember something. "Did he ask you to show your other car?"
Slaterâs smile stiffened. "Huh?"
"Didnât you have two red sports cars?" Butler Jen tilted his head to the side. "Now that I think of it, I havenât seen it in a while."
"Hehe. Butler Jen, please donât mention that to my First Brother," Slater laughed awkwardly, almost whispering. "James borrowed it for a while."
Deep lines appeared between Butler Jenâs brows. "He borrowed it? You let him?"
"Hehe. James has always been good to me, and his new car takes time to get released."
"Ah... thatâs why."
"Yes."
"But why donât you want your First Brother to know?"
Slater sighed. "Didnât you see him earlier? He looks like heâs going to punch me in the face."
Butler Jen blinked, still confused by Slaterâs point. It seemed pointless. However, he smiled and nodded. Whatever the reason was, Butler Jen had always kept the familyâs secrets safe. After all, he didnât need to reveal anything since the family members often threw themselves under the bus. Even Penny had this bad habit.
"Alright." Butler Jen nodded in understanding, knowing Slater would eventually out himself or that Atlas would find out about it. Even so, it would always be a harmless confrontation. "Donât worry, Third Young Master. I wonât tell a soul about it."
"Thanks, Butler Jen! Youâre the best!" Slater cheered before happily walking in, patting his chest as he sighed in relief. Glancing over his shoulder, his expression soured before he resumed his steps.
Meanwhile, Butler Jen kept a smile on his face, watching Slater approach the dining table and pick up a few sweets before leaving.

"Youâre leaving now, First Young Master?" Butler Jen looked up the stairs, where he saw Atlas walking down.
Atlas, who was busy fixing his cufflinks, glanced at Butler Jen. "Mhm. Whereâs Slater?"
"Hmm. He left, telling me to inform you that he didnât tell me where he would go..." Butler Jen chuckled helplessly. "I think the Third Young Master is still upset."
"Well, he has every reason to be," Atlas shrugged. "Anyway, Iâll go."
"Yes, Young Master Atlas. Please take care on your way."
Atlas offered a short smile and nodded. "Thank you, Butler Jen."
Having said that, Atlas strode off without idling, as he still planned to finish some tasks today. Unlike what he told the driver, Atlas didnât plan to celebrate this "second life." He only said that because he was worried the driver might be traumatized.
But when Atlas walked out, his brows rose upon seeing the old driver standing near his car. His brows knitted together as he approached, watching the driver smile from ear to ear until his eyes were squinting.
"Did... Butler Jen call you?"
"No, sir, but I thought that you might need one," explained the driver. "You and Sir Allen always work even in a storm, so Iâm certain that incident earlier wonât stop you. Moreover, considering Sir Allen hasnât come back, I know he would be worried about the workload you now have. I want to at least lessen that by doing my role and driving you to where you need to be. Donât worry about me, sir. Iâm old, and Iâve had a lot more terrifying experiences aside from earlier. Iâm still fit to work."
Atlas gazed at the old man, huffing helplessly. "How stubborn," he murmured while the driver chuckled, opening the backseat door for him.
"To the office, sir?"
"Mhm," Atlas hummed, nodding. "To the office."

Meanwhile, Slater slowed down as he entered the mechanic shop far away from the city. Stepping out of the car, he walked closer and stopped, resting his hands on his hips when he saw a red sports car with a wrecked front end.
