Chapter 882: Who do you think is the top and bottom?
Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress
One of the things about reunions wasnât just catching up and reminiscing about the good memories of the past with friends. It was also about seeing how different everyone had become and how much they had changed over the years.
A few people who didnât stand out in the past had undergone mind-blowing transformations as adults. If anyone were going to be set as an example, it would be Slater Bennet. It wasnât that Slater didnât have an angelic face as a child, but because of his personality and attitude, only a few people could appreciate his beauty when he was so pathetic back then.
Slaterâs popularity didnât really take off until after that one school year when he managed to climb into the top rankings of his class and the festival where he sang a cover song. Even so, compared to twelve years ago, Slaterâs beauty now was definitely rareâone in a billion. One couldnât get enough of looking at him. Thatâs why he was a superstar.
But this wasnât about Slater.
These girlsâ attention was on the beautiful man standing in the corner, the one who could catch anyoneâs eye.
"I donât think Iâve seen you here before~!" one of the girls said coquettishly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Where have you been?"
"What grade were you in twelve years ago?" another girl asked with equal interest. "Which family are you from?"
"Are you single?" the third girl was more direct. Surprisingly, the ladies didnât seem to be fighting over him. Not that they werenât interested in Zoren, but they recognized it as a friendly competition to see who could win his favor.
"Iâm a transfer student," Zoren replied with a short smile. "As per the presidentâs request."
"Ohh..." the three ladies nodded in understanding, even though they didnât fully grasp the last part. But that didnât matter. "So, youâre a transfer student and got dragged into this fan club assembly?"
"No, I came here of my own volition."
"Aww..." the first girl mused, placing a hand on her chest. "A common interest!"
"We also came here of our own volition."
"Penny is such a cutie, right? We love her so much~!"
Zoren smiled brighter, nodding at them, as he shared the same sentiment. He loved Penny so muchâhe loved her to death.
"So? Whatâs your name?" asked the second girl. "We canât just call you âtransfer student, right?â"
"Right. Since weâre all members of this fan club, letâs be friends!"
"Zoren."
"Zoren, huh?" the third girl looked at him with admiration. "What a beautiful name."
"Your name suits you."
"It sounds manly and sophisticated... just like your face!"
"Thank you," Zoren replied kindly to his âwifeâsâ friends.
"But even if youâre a transfer student, how come we never saw you around before?" the other girl blurted out, thinking that they wouldâve remembered him if heâd been there earlier.
"I was a late bloomer," he explained. "I was shorter than my age. People used to say I looked like a kid."
"Oh, just like Penny!" one of the ladies exclaimed, giggling as she remembered how short Penny was. "That explains it!"
"But hey, even if you were a late bloomer, we can all see that you bloomed beautifully."
As the girls showered Zoren with compliments, he thanked them for their kind words. Benjamin, who had been standing beside his boss, couldnât help but glare at them. He glanced at Zoren and scoffed.
âHas he not noticed theyâre flirting with him?â Benjamin wondered, glaring at the enthusiastic ladies, who were openly flirting with Zoren right in front of him. "Of course, he bloomed beautifully! No, this single flower could make a deserted forest come to life again!"
The ladies, and even Zoren, slowly turned to Benjamin. They blinked and assessed him from head to toe before their eyes shifted back to Zoren. Unlike the sparkle in their eyes when they looked at Zoren, they looked at Benjamin as though he were invisible.
"Did you... did you just ignore me?!" Benjamin gasped at the ladies, drawing their attention back. "Hey! Do you know who youâre trying to hit on?"
"Goodness, whatâs wrong with him?" one of the ladies murmured, clearly not impressed with Benjamin.
"Mister Shorty, you shouldnât stand beside him," said another lady. "Itâs distracting."
"Shoâshorty?!"
"Or destructive," the last lady added, shaking her head. "Mister, standing beside Zoren doesnât make him stand out. It only suppresses your own light... if you have any â"
"Please donât say those harsh things to him," Zoren politely said. "Ben is a reliable person whom I trust very much."
Benjamin puffed out his chest, smirking at the ladies. "Thatâs right. If you like him, youâll have to go through me first!"
The ladies flashed Zoren an awkward smile before shifting their attention back to Benjamin. Their faces couldnât hide their dismay. If not for Zoren, they wouldnât have even spared a glance at the possessive guy, who was acting as if he were Zorenâs wife... or even his mother.
"Whatâs going on here?" Just then, everyone heard someone speak from the side. When they turned, the three ladies smiled as the life returned to their eyes, seeing the handsome Atlas approaching them.
"Atlas!"
"Hello, Senior Atlas~!"
"How have you been?"
Atlas stopped a few steps from them, glancing at their faces, then coldly said, "That guyâs not available."
"Huh?" The girls blinked, watching Atlas slowly turn his gaze to Zoren.
Atlas pressed his lips into a thin line and sighed faintly. Zoren, on the other hand, smiled subtly.
"This canât be," Atlas muttered, studying Zoren in a school uniform with his hair partly covering his forehead. "Itâs going to be trouble if youâre left alone. Your face... it stands out too much."
The girls darted their eyes between Atlas and Zoren, their curiosity growing. But before they could ask, Atlas spoke again.
"Come with me," Atlas said as he turned around. He furrowed his brows when he saw Kiara standing behind him. "Move."
Kiara flashed him an awkward smile but didnât say anything as she stepped aside. With that, Atlas walked away, though the girls continued to fawn over Zoren.
"Zoren, do you and Senior Atlas know each other?" one of the ladies asked curiously.
Zoren nodded. "Heâs a... loved one. Iâm sorry, but I have to go. Otherwise, heâd get jealous. It was nice talking to all of you."
And with that, Zoren followed Atlas, while Benjamin smirked proudly, looking at the ladies haughtily before jogging to catch up to Zoren. Meanwhile, the girlsâand even Kiaraâcould only stare at Zorenâs broad back with plain expressions. They were all aware of the rumors about Atlas, but they hadnât really taken them seriously.
But after hearing that, and seeing how subtly Atlas had asked Zoren to come with him, as if trying to suppress his jealousy, they started to wonder if those rumors were based on truth. After all, where thereâs smoke, thereâs fire.
And they all just saw the fire in Atlasâs eyes.
"Hey," one of the girls leaned to her friend. "Who do you think is the top and bottom?"
No one answered it, but they all had one answer in mind: Atlas was the wife... just because he was
