Chapter 112
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
âBradly, youâ¦â
Bradlyâs words shocked Eliana, rendering her speechless.
It was true that she was moved by his generosity, but she couldnât get him involved any longer.
Just as she was about to refuse his kindness, Maurice spoke first.
âBradly, are you so nice to all the employees in your department? Are you really so generous that you
want to pay off the debt for her for nothing in return?â
Maurice narrowed his eyes at Bradly, with a murderous look on his face.
âTo be honest, Mr. Moran, Eliana is not only my subordinate, but we went to the same school together.
Elianaâs father took care of me when I needed help back then. Iâm one of her closest friends. If I canât
stand by her when sheâs in trouble, then what kind of a friend would I be?â
Although Bradly was often gentle and soft-spoken, he didnât give in to Mauriceâs intimidation.
When the two men looked at each other, it seemed as though a thunderstorm was about to rage the
skies.
âSo you two could almost be called childhood sweethearts.â
It seemed as though Bradly was very close to Eliana.
Maurice gritted his teeth as he looked at Eliana.
After all, Eliana had never mentioned this piece of information to him before.
All of a sudden, Eliana felt a hint of guilt creep into her heart.
No! Why did she have to feel guilty?
Bradly continued, âNow that you know the truth about me and Eliana, could you please tell me how
much money she owes you?â
Maurice raised his eyebrows and said, âBradly, are you sure you can afford to pay off her debt? Or are
you just going to use your grandfatherâs heritage to pay off her debt?â
As soon as he finished speaking, Eliana noticed Bradlyâs facial expression stiffen.
âHave you been snooping around my private life?â asked Bradly angrily.
âYes,â Maurice replied without hesitation.
Besides, Bradlyâs life was so simple that it didnât take him much time to dig up his personal information.
With a mocking smirk at the corners of his mouth, he said, âDo you want to pay off the debt for Eliana
because you donât believe that she can pay it with her own ability?â
âNo!â
Bradly had never been so angry before.
Suddenly, there was raw tension in the air.
Fortunately, Elianaâs phone rang at that moment.
When she saw it was a call from her children, she quickly turned around and answered it.
âMommy, something big happened at home. Come back quickly!â
Aileen sounded anxious.
What? What could it be this time?
âWait. Iâll be right back.â
Eliana got flustered in an instant. After hanging up the phone, all she could think about was leaving.
âIâll take you back,â Maurice and Bradly said in unison.
They looked at each other with determination, showing no chance of giving in.
âNo, thanks. I can go back by myself.â
After all, there could be a big risk of them finding out about her children, if either of them were to take
her home.
Eliana turned around and ran as soon as she finished speaking.
Maurice and Bradly stared at each other awkwardly after Eliana left.
âItâs so weird! Why does Eliana always have an emergency and then disappear without saying
anything?â Bradly murmured to himself.
Maurice thought the same thing as he replied without conscious thought, âIndeed.â
As soon as he said this, a deathly silence filled the air between them.
Maurice had disliked Bradly for a long time.
As such, they parted ways.
Meanwhile, Eliana rushed home as quickly as she could.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Aileen, Adrian and Nana standing in the living room, safe
and sound.
Eliana breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the two children were safe.
What was the emergency about?
She could sense that something was off. The children and Nana were standing on opposite sides.
Bowling was at Aileenâs feet, listless.
The two kids glared at Nana angrily, while Nana looked embarrassed.
âIs everything okay⦠What happened?â
âMommy, you are finally back!â
Aileen threw herself in Elianaâs arms.
Eliana squatted down to catch her and gently patted her head. âAileen, what happened? Tell Mommy
now.â
âMommy, Bowling is missing.â Aileen looked like she was about to cry.
âAileen, what are you talking about? Bowling is right there?â
With a confused look, Eliana pointed her finger at the puppy lying prone in the middle of the living
room.
