Chapter 193
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Eliana had no idea what Alissa had done. She followed Alissaâs pointing finger to the corner of the
restaurant.
In the corner there was a colorful glass window.
The weather was lovely today. The sun shone through the multicolored glass and onto the manâs
handsome face. The scene looked like a painting.
âSir, would you like to order?â
The man turned around.
âMaurice! Itâs you!â
Eliana was shocked.
Maurice raised his eyebrows. âWhy are you so surprised?â he asked pointedly.
Eliana hadnât forgotten when Maurice had fired her.
She ground her teeth together, turned away, and left without saying a word.
âWhere are you going? Is this how Wyatt taught you to serve guests?â
Maurice narrowed his eyes in annoyance.
He didnât come here just to have her ignore him.
Eliana stopped. Reluctantly, she turned around and walked back.
She couldnât forget that she was a waitress and Maurice was a customer.
âSir, what would you like to order?â Eliana forced herself to smile.
Maurice raised his eyebrows. He found it amusing to watch Eliana smile at him despite her fury.
âI remember that you used to hate doing this. Why have you decided to be a waitress now?â
Maurice knew how to get under Elianaâs skin.
Eliana clenched her fists.
âI donât care if my job is good or bad. Weâre equal. If there were no waitresses, who would serve you?
You can choose not to go out for dinner.â
The two exchanged icy glares. Neither was willing to admit defeat.
Meanwhile, Alissaâs revenge had already begun.
She tore off Elianaâs sticky note and waited excitedly for the chef to prepare the dishes for Table 10.
As soon as the food was ready, she brought it out to Table 10.
âSir, maâam, your food is ready.â
The couple seated at Table 10 were busy flirting with each other. They didnât notice if the food
contained nuts.
Alissa kept an eye on Table 10 after she gave them their food. She was relieved when they ate the food
with nuts.
âEliana is about to be in trouble!â she thought.
Soon enough, the man at Table 10 started to have an allergic reaction.
âHoney, your face!â The woman covered her mouth and stared in horror at the rash that had started to
form on her boyfriendâs face and neck.
âWhatâs wrong?â Only then did he notice something was wrong. He looked down at his hands. âDamn
it! My hands!â
His shout could be heard throughout the whole restaurant.
Alissa hurried to the table.
âSir, what is wrong?â she asked anxiously.
âWhy are there nuts in the food?â The man pointed furiously at the plates.
âLet me have a look. Oh, this is our specialty fried steak. There is nut powder in the sauce to enhance
the flavor. Is there a problem?â
âItâs a big problem! Didnât I say that Iâm allergic to nuts? How can you be this incompetent?â
The man rolled up his sleeves, revealing horrible rashes all over his arms.
âOh my God, I didnât know. Are you sure you told my coworkers?â Alissa pretended to be surprised.
The woman glanced around furiously until she saw Elianaâs back. Pointing at her, she snapped, âIt was
her. She took our order. I told her over and over that my boyfriend canât eat nuts. She must have
forgotten.â
Eliana heard the commotion coming from Table 10.
She immediately abandoned Maurice and walked over.
âWhat happened here?â
Rosalie also rushed over after noticing the noise.
Alissa pointed at Eliana in front of everyone.
âMs. Gordon, Eliana forgot that this gentleman canât eat nuts. Now he is having an allergic reaction!â
She was certain that Eliana would be punished this time!
