Chapter 373
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Nana was finally satisfied. She pinched Aileenâs face and said, âGood girl.â
Then she turned to Adrian and said matter-of-factly, âAdrian, now you.â
He felt embarrassed and asked, âNana, why did you have to lie?â
What an innocent little boy he was.
Nana sighed and explained, âAdrian, you know, there are two kinds of lies in this world. There are lies
that are bad, but there are also lies called white lies. Although Iâm about to lie, it will help solve a huge
problem as well as protect someone else from getting hurt. That is what we call a white lie. Do you
understand?â
Adrian nodded, although he hadnât fully grasped the concept yet.
âIt doesnât matter if you donât understand it now. You will understand when you grow up,â Nana said as
she patted his head gently.
âMommy, Mommy, can I order fried chicken later?â
The atmosphere changed as Aileen called out in a sweet voice.
Nana smiled in amusement. This girl was so cute! How she wished she could have a child like Aileen.
âOf course,â Nana said as she touched Aileenâs nose dotingly. âWe will have some later.â
Just then, Rosamond entered the restaurant.
Nana immediately raised a hand and waved at her.
âMiss Deleon, over here!â
Rosamond was wearing a professional suit as she usually did. The way she dressed and did her
makeup was always meticulous. She was indeed a strong woman.
âComing!â
She walked towards Nana. However, when she saw the children, her face changed.
âDarlings, this is Miss Deleon.â
Nana intentionally called Rosamondâs attention to the children.
Aileen and Adrian greeted Rosamond at the same time. âNice to meet you, Miss Deleon!â
Rosamond sat down opposite Nana with a dissatisfied expression. âI wanted to talk to you. Only you.
Why did you bring the kids?â
Looking at Rosamondâs unhappy expression, Nana was pleased inwardly.
This was exactly what she wanted!
âEliana went on a business trip today, and I couldnât find a babysitter to look after the kids. I am their
mother. Of course I had to bring them with me,â Nana continued.
After Nana finished speaking, Rosamond looked even more disgruntled.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense.
âMommy,â Aileen said in a confused tone. âMiss Deleon looks so young and beautiful. Can I call her by
her first name?â
Nana was stunned by the question and Adrian was rendered speechless. Even Rosamond was
shocked.
However, Aileen simply stared at Nana with an innocent expression.
Was her observation wrong?
Nana explained in a measured tone, âAileen, Miss Deleon is Mommyâs elder, so of course you should
call her Miss Deleon.â
âBut Miss Deleon is so beautiful! She looks like a young lady!â Aileen continued.
She looked at Adrian for approval and asked, âRight, Adrian?â
Adrian looked at Rosamond carefully and nodded in agreement. âI agree. Can we call her by her first
name instead?â
âSee, Mommy? Adrian agrees with me!â
Aileen then turned to Rosamond happily and said in a cute voice, âHello, Rosamond!â
No one could resist humoring such a sweet child.
Rosamond didnât particularly like children, but when she heard Aileenâs words, she couldnât help but
chuckle.
All of a sudden, she appeared much kinder.
Nana was stunned.
What was going on? What was happening to her plan?
She had expected the children to offend Rosamond, who would then lash out at them with harsh
words. Then she could have rushed to play the role of a loving mother by scolding Rosamond.
Afterwards, the women would have parted in anger and would have never seen each other again.
As Nana sat in shock, Rosamond realized something was wrong from the look on her face.
âNana, you arenât their mother, are you?â
Rosamond was an intelligent businesswoman with sharp eyes.
When Nana heard Rosamondâs question, she nearly lost her composure.
How did she know?
