Chapter 376
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
âMom! She cheated on me. How can you side with this bitch?â Huey snarled, pointing an accusatory
finger at the crying Nana.
âWhat are you waiting for? Get him out of here!â
Pursing her lips tightly, Rosamond cast a sharp glance at the security guards.
Despite their confusion, the security guards obediently rushed forward and dragged Huey out of the
restaurant.
Struggling against them, Huey cried, âWhat are you doing? Iâm the son of the Layton family!â
Turning a deaf ear to him, the security guards dragged him away while he was kicking and screaming.
âYour boss is my mother!â Huey continued to protest.
But the security guards just threw him out of the restaurant coldly and closed the door behind him.
Stranded outside the restaurant like a nobody, Huey could do nothing but stamp his feet in anger. He
cursed, âNana, wait and see. I will definitely get back at you for this!â
The commotion at the door of Lakeside Restaurant attracted the attention of passers-by.
Coincidentally, Corbin happened to be walking past that very restaurant.
It took him barely a glance to recognize the man who was shouting at the door like a madman.
Wasnât that Nanaâs ex-boyfriend? What was he doing here?
Then he thought of the woman who looked like Nana at the gate of the manor this morning, Corbinâs
heart sank as he put two and two together. Was Nana here?
Just then, an acquaintance of Corbinâs walked out of the restaurant. Corbin immediately stepped
forward and stopped that man.
âVictor, itâs been a while since Iâve seen you.â
Victor Lyons paused and said in surprise, âCorbin, what a coincidence! What are you doing here?â
âVictor, do you know what happened inside? Who is that guy at the door?â Corbin asked hurriedly,
glancing at Huey before even exchanging pleasantries.
Victorâs eyes widened in shock. âYou donât know yet? That guy is Rosamondâs son, Huey Layton.
Rosamond came here today to see Hueyâs ex-fiancee, the woman who ran out on Huey before their
wedding.â
A sharp glint flickered in Corbinâs eyes. By ex-fiancee, did Victor mean Nana? That meant she really
was here!
Shaking his head with a sigh, Victor continued, âMiss Deleon can be scary when she gets angry. If she
can be this cruel to her own son, I donât even want to know what she will do to his ex-fiancee. Alasâ¦â
Hearing that, Corbin became distraught.
He knew that he had to go to Nanaâs rescue right away. Even though Nana could be a fiery woman,
she was no match for Rosamond!
Corbin darted into the restaurant without a second thought. The security guards who were stationed
outside ignored him completely, only keen on stopping Huey from entering the restaurant.
As soon as Corbin stepped into the restaurant, he saw Nana standing there crying.
It seemed that things were just as he feared: Nana was being bullied.
Without hesitation, he strode over and stood protectively in front of Nana.
âMiss Deleon, what are you doing?â
Nana was so taken aback by Corbinâs sudden arrival that her tears froze in her eyes.
When she noticed that Corbin was staring at Rosamond with an unfriendly look in his eyes, she
whimpered, âCorbin⦠I⦠Iâm fineâ¦â
Corbin was even more distressed upon seeing Nanaâs reddened eyes.
âHow can you be fine? Youâre crying!â
Unable to hold back his anger anymore, he turned to Rosamond and snapped, âMiss Deleon, you are a
big shot in the business world. How can you bully a girl in her early twenties? Donât you think youâre
doing something that is beneath you? Whatâs more, she almost became your daughter-in-law before.
You should at least treat her with basic courtesy.â
These harsh words grated on Rosamondâs nerves.
Who was this man to suddenly barge in here and stand up for Nana?
Suppressing her annoyance, she asked the assistant next to her, âWho is he?â
The assistant replied in a hurry, âHe seems to be Mr. Moranâs assistant. His name is⦠Corbin Jenkins.â
Realizing that the man in front of her was just a mere assistant, Rosamond sneered, âDo you have any
idea who you are talking to? Even your boss, Maurice, would never dare to offend me. Believe it or not,
I can easily get you fired. Youâll never have a chance to become an assistant again!â
Corbin knew the consequences of offending Rosamond, but he had no regrets. Even in the face of her
threat, he didnât back down.
He just held Nanaâs hand firmly and stood in front of her and the twins.
âThis has nothing to do with Mr. Moran. Iâll take responsibility for what I have done.â
After saying that, he wanted to leave with Nana and the twins.
Nana had never seen this side of Corbin before. As she held Corbinâs hand, her heart raced.
