Chapter 380
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
As Kelvin heard Rosamondâs praise for Corbin, his mind went to dark places.
Rosamond had been focusing on her career since she got divorced. She hadnât been with any man
since her marriage failed, and Kelvin had never heard of any rumor about any changes in her
relationship status.
But why was she commending Mauriceâs assistant now?
Did she have feelings for Corbin?
Kelvin thought he had seen through something and chose to âdo Rosamond a favorâ.
âMr. Moran, since Miss Deleon likes your assistant so much, maybe you should give him to her as a
gift.â
As soon as Kelvinâs words came out, the faces of everyone present suddenly changed.
Mauriceâs face darkened while Corbinâs face turned livid. Maurice slowly put down his knife. Harriet, on
the other hand, prayed for the floor to split open so that she could hurl herself into the crack.
Rosamond was furious. She had been in the business world for many years and had met a lot of
people. She thought that no matter what happened, she could remain calm.
But right now, she felt sick at Kelvinâs words, and she refused to take them sitting down.
Rosamond didnât tolerate anyone who insulted her.
Without saying a word, she picked up one of the glasses of red wine on the table and splashed its
contents on Kelvin and Harriet.
Kelvinâs clothes were instantly drenched in red wine. He was stunned for a moment and then flew into a
rage.
âRosamond Deleon, what the hell is wrong with you?â
âI was just trying to make this place a bit cleaner by washing away disgusting things. Whatâs wrong with
that?â Rosamond sneered with disdain and harshness in her eyes.
âYouâ¦â
Upon hearing her calling him a âdisgusting thingâ, Kelvinâs face turned bright red with fury.
Rosamond was a powerful and domineering woman.
After weighing the pros and cons, Kelvin chose to back down, but he still couldnât calm himself.
âMr. Moran, my niece and I are here as your guests. Arenât you going to do something about this?â
He wanted Maurice to avenge him.
However, Maurice didnât seem to care at all. He picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth.
âWell, this was a bummer. Iâm going to call it a night. Excuse me, Miss Deleon.â
Maurice stood up and left.
Seeing that Corbin was still standing there, Maurice snapped, âHavenât you had enough fun here? Are
you going to stay?â
âNo, sir.â As if waking up from a dream, Corbin immediately snapped back to his senses and followed
Maurice.
The moment they were out of the restaurant, Maurice suddenly stopped and said to Corbin, âYou can
leave now. Get some rest.â
âOkay. Thank you, sir.â Then, Corbin turned to leave.
But Maurice suddenly grabbed his shoulder and looked at him with seriousness. âYou are my assistant.
You are not a servant to anyone. Do you understand?â
âSir⦠Are you trying to protect me?â
All of a sudden, Corbin felt a little moved. Although Maurice had always been tough on him, he was still
a nice boss.
Maurice got goose bumps when he saw the moved look on Corbinâs face. He immediately withdrew his
hand and muttered, âTry and use your brain to think next time when something like that happens, will
you?â
Sure enough⦠Mauriceâs sharp tongue was still there after all.
Hearing his words, Corbin was much less moved.
Suddenly, someone anxiously cried from behind them. It was Harriet.
âMr. Moran, wait!â
Panting, she rushed over with red wine stains on her clothes.
Trying to catch her breath, she explained, âMr. Moran, Iâm really sorry about tonight. Thatâs how my
uncle is. And no matter what, heâs an elderâ¦â
âIâm going to stop you right there,â Maurice interrupted her. âThatâs how your uncle is? Well, this is how I
am. I donât suffer people who disrespect others.â
After saying that, Maurice turned around and left without looking back.
Damn it!
Harriet was agitated. She said the wrong words again!
âMr. Moran!â
This time, no matter how loudly she shouted after him, Maurice didnât stop. He just kept walking and
walking.
