Chapter 419
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
âGrandma, havenât you had enough with Silas? You canât even deal with one grandchild; are you sure
you want more?â Maurice joked.
Nancy pretended to be angry and scolded Maurice softly, âYou brat, who asked for your opinion? Itâs
Elianaâs bod. Itâs up to her to decide.â
Seeing that the conversation had become a little more cheerful and relaxed, Eliana finally decided not
to say anything.
The three of them had a nice lunch. After lunch, Nancy stood up to leave.
âMrs. Moran, are you leaving already?â Eliana asked Nancy.
âYeah. I donât want to overstay my welcome.â Nancy then glanced at Maurice and said with a faint
smile, âSomeone needs to work harder here. Iâm leaving now.â
Eliana and Maurice both saw her off.
After Nancy left, Eliana looked curiously at Maurice and finally asked the question that had been in her
mind for a while. âMaurice, why did you bring your grandmother here today?â
Maurice replied indifferently, âI brought her here as backup, just like you asked her to come to my aid
the other day when my grandfather hit me.â
At this moment, Eliana suddenly remembered how weak Earle looked when he collapsed on the sofa
earlier. She couldnât help worrying.
âMaurice, do you think thereâs anything to worry about your grandfatherâs health? I donât want him to
get sick because of me.â
Maurice gently reassured Eliana, âYou donât have to worry about him. Heâs not used to sitting around;
thatâs all. He is in perfect health.â
When Eliana was about to say something else, her phone rang. It was Nana.
âHello, Nana. Whatâs up?â
âEliana, there was an incident at my work. Iâm afraid I canât help you pick up the kids today.â
Nana sounded nervous and hesitant on the phone.
Sure enough, Eliana noticed it and she quickly became nervous. âNana, what happened at your work?â
âNothing serious,â Nana replied in a guilty tone.
âIf you donât tell me, Iâll come to your workplace right away!â
Elianaâs tone was firm and Nana felt that her friend wasnât joking. Nana sighed and had to tell the truth.
âItâs not a big deal. But⦠Iâm in the Central Hospital now. Weâll talk about the details when you see
meâ¦â
Before Nana could finish her words, Eliana had dropped the phone and stood up. Her gaze was blank.
Why was her best friend in the hospital?
Eliana turned to Maurice and ordered, âMaurice, take me to the Central Hospital now.â
Maurice was confused and asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
âNana is in there. I have to go and see her now.â
As she spoke, Eliana rushed out and Maurice followed her immediately.
As soon as the two of them walked out of the house, they ran into Corbin.
Corbin was about to say hello but Eliana walked pass him as if she hadnât even seen him.
âCorbin, youâre just in time. Drive the car,â Maurice said, throwing the car keys to Corbin as he rushed
to the garage.
Corbin was confused and looked at Eliana and Maurice, who seemed in a hurry.
What the hell was going on?
Why were they in such a hurry?
Finally, he decided to run after them.
When they got on the car, Maurice suddenly remembered something and said to Corbin, âCorbin, if my
memory is good, the dean of the Central Hospital is my grandfatherâs friend, right?â
Hearing his question, Corbin was even more confused. However, he nodded quickly, âYes. But boss,
who is sick?â
Maurice replied seriously, âNana. Sheâs in the hospital now. However, we donât yet know exactly what
happened.â
âWhat? Nana is in the hospital?â
Corbinâs expression changed drastically and he suddenly slammed on the brakes.
