Chapter 430
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Earle was promptly taken to the hospital in the ambulance that arrived.
The youngsters tagged along as well.
The top medical professionals were already waiting for them when they arrived at the hospital. Upon
Earleâs arrival, he was taken to the special VIP ward for evaluation.
The children were waiting outside the ward. Silasâ palms were sweating from anxiety.
Aileen and Adrian locked eyes and took Silasâ hand at the same time.
âDonât worry, Silas,â Aileen reassured him. âThere is no need to worry about Mr. Moran. He will be
okay.â
Silas, his face dull, agreed, saying, âMy great-grandpa is extremely privileged, so he will definitely be
okay.â
The sight of the three kids holding hands outside of the ward made the nurse feel uneasy. She had to
go up to them and console them, saying, âYou kids must be incredibly close. Have no fear. The health
of your great-grandfather is not a concern.â
Silas quickly corrected the nurseâs assumption that they were siblings by saying, âWe are not related in
any way, sorry.â
âWhat?â Aileen answered in a flash. âYou are both my older brothers, we are related!â
After the death of his parents, Silas had not experienced the genuine comfort of family until then.
âYesâ¦â Silas said with a hushed voice as he bowed his head.
âMiss Pretty, whatâs Mr. Moranâs condition?â Aileen inquired of the nurse hesitantly.
When Aileen addressed her as Miss Pretty, the nurse couldnât contain her excitement. She got down on
her knees and pinched her round cheek.
âNot to fret. He received first aid treatment in time, so everything will be well.â
All three children let out a collective sigh of relief.
âThank you, Adrian. When my great-grandpa fell, I had no idea what to do. What might have happened
if not for you would be beyond my wildest imaginations.â
Silas expressed his gratitude.
The nurse stared at Adrian in disbelief. âHe administered first aid?â
âIt was nothing,â Adrian commented quickly, waving his hand. âI just came across the medication Mr.
Moran was carrying.â
The nurse patted him on the back and exclaimed, âYouâre amazing, boy!â
Adrian was flattered to be complimented in this manner.
At that moment, the doctor emerged from the ward.
âDoctor, I was wondering how my great-grandpa is doing,â Silas inquired in a hurry.
âHeâs alright,â the doctor said, taking off his mask. âSeeing him at this time is fine, but you must be
quiet. The time you can spend seeing him is limited. Do you get it?â
âYes, I get it.â
The three youngsters all gave affirmative nods.
Then they all walked inside Earleâs room and got close to him in bed.
âHey⦠Kids, how comes youâre here?â
Earle appeared to be doing much better. He could hardly speak before.
Holding Earleâs hand, Aileen inquired wearily, âMr. Moran, do you feel any better? My blood was
running cold moments ago.â
When speaking to Aileen, Earle couldnât help but tone it down.
âIâm all right.â
âMr. Moran, you were overly confident about your health,â Adrian, who was standing next to them, said.
âYou were in poor health and should not have played with us. You ought to follow the example of the
other old men and go for walks after meals.â
The way he put it offended Earle.
âWhatâs your deal, boy? There was a day in my youth whenâ¦â
Earle started to boast about his accomplishments again, but Silas cut him off, saying, âGreat-grandpa, I
have heard a lot about what you had experienced when you were young. I agree with Adrian though;
youâre too over your prime to be hanging around with kids.â
As Earle was about to explode, Aileen stepped in and defended him.
âThatâs not the case. Mr. Moran would accompany us to the amusement park if he so desired. He
might⦠He could ride with us on the merry-go-round!â
Earle found Aileenâs remarks humorous. He had a soft spot in his heart for these kids. But for the
Moran Group, he couldnât let the news of his heart disease leak out.
He said sternly to the little siblings, âChildren, swear me you will not tell anybody what happened,
okay?â
With a respectful nod, Aileen said, âMr. Moran, donât worry. Not a soul will know. Letâs keep this
between us!â
Adrianâs grave response was, âI wonât tell anyone, either.â
At this point, night had fallen completely. It was imperative that the twins go on their way.
âMr. Moran, Iâm afraid we need to head back home. Mommy must be quite concerned about us,â Aileen
remarked uneasily.
Earle was hesitant to let them go at first. âChild, who is your mother?â he couldnât help but wonder.
âMy mother isâ¦â
