Chapter 434
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
When Eliana saw the guilty look on Silasâ face, mixed emotions filled her heart.
She knew that what had happened today was not entirely his fault. But she couldnât help feeling scared.
She couldnât imagine the pain of losing her children.
âSilas, you must be tired today too. Everything is fine here. You can go home first,â Eliana sighed. She
didnât accept Silasâ apology.
Silas understood what she meant, so he lowered his head more. There was a guilty and depressed
expression on his face.
Maurice put his hand on Silasâ shoulder, leaned over, and comforted him softly, âSilas, itâs not your
fault.â
Then he took Silas and left the Pierce familyâs house.
On their way home, Silas still thought of what had happened during the day. He couldnât help asking
Maurice, âDo you know who is Aileen and Adrianâs father?â
Maurice was stunned for a moment. He didnât understand why Silas suddenly became curious about it.
âWhy do you ask?â
Silas answered honestly, âBecause I really hope that you are their father.â
âWhy me?â Silasâ answer made Maurice even more confused.
âSo I can be their real family.â
There was a trace of expectation in Silasâ voice.
Maurice couldnât help laughing. âDo you like them so much that you want them to be your family?â
Silas nodded. âYes, I like them very much.â
Real family?
It could never happen.
After all, the twinsâ father was not him but Jonathan.
At the thought of this, Mauriceâs face suddenly darkened.
âIâm not the twinsâ father.â
âOhâ¦â Silas looked disappointed. âMiss Pierce is so angry today. Will she not let me play with Aileen
and Adrian anymore?â
At the mention of this matter, Maurice felt morose.
âSilas, you should stop playing with those two kids in the future. I donât want Eliana to blame you again
if something happens.â
Silas was distressed at once. âBut I want to play with Aileen and Adrian.â
âSilas, just listen to me!â
After saying this, Maurice immediately pulled a long face.
âNo, I donât want to listen to you!â
Silas stubbornly turned his head sideways and covered his ears, not wanting to hear Mauriceâs words
anymore.
No one was willing to give in, and the atmosphere in the car suddenly became depressing.
They soon arrived at the Moran familyâs house.
Silas opened the door and rushed out of the car. Maurice could only sigh silently and follow him.
Silas ran into his room and threw himself on the bed, feeling dejected.
There was his family photo on the bedside table. At that time, his parents were still there. They held his
hands and smiled happily.
He hugged the family photo, and Aileenâs words echoed in his mind.
âYou are both my older brothers, we are related!â
Silas thought that he had found a new family, but he was wrong. Eliana would not let Aileen and Adrian
become his family anymore.
The more he thought about it, the sadder he became. Tears streamed down his face like a waterfall.
Maurice was worried about Silas, so he went straight to the door of the boyâs room. He heard Silasâ
suppressed crying from the inside.
He knocked, opened the door, and walked in. He saw Silas lying on the bed and crying secretly with
the family photo in his arms.
âSilas, are you alright?â
Maurice wanted to walk over and comfort Silas.
But when Silas saw Maurice approaching, he was very resistant. He grabbed a pillow and threw it at
Maurice. Then he buried his head in another pillow and shouted, âGo away! I donât want to see you
anymore!â
Watching Silas lose his temper, Maurice didnât know what to do for a while. He couldnât help feeling
very depressed.
In the Pierce familyâs house, Eliana and Adrian coaxed Aileen to sleep.
Eliana patted Adrian on the head and said, âAdrian, you must be tired. Go to bed now.â
âMommyâ¦â Adrian raised his head and looked at Eliana as if he had made up his mind. âActually, what
happened today is not Silasâ uncleâs fault.â
Eliana was confused. âWhat do you mean? What really happened to you today?â
Adrian thought it over for a while. Then he came up with an explanation that could not only keep his
promise to Earle but also make him explain to his mother clearly.
âYou and Nana didnât come to pick us up, so Silas offered to send us home. But on the way, we met an
old man who had a heart attack. We had to take him to the hospital, so we went home late.â
âThen why didnât you immediately tell me?â Eliana was surprised by what she had learned.
âBecause the old man didnât want his family to worry about him. He begged us to keep it a secret. We
promised him not to tell anyone. We wanted to keep our promise, so we didnât tell you about it.â
Adrianâs explanation made Eliana feel a little guilty.
It seemed that she really misunderstood Maurice this time.
