Chapter 515
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Eliana, Maurice, and the three children played enthusiastically in the amusement park.
Riding the merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, and pirate ship, they were all shouting their hearts out.
Maurice didnât like having the three kids on his date with Eliana. Nonetheless, he made sure that the
children had fun. And now, he was enjoying himself as well.
Watching Maurice with the children, Eliana couldnât help but think that he would be a wonderful fatherâ
and responsible one, too.
The thought of Aileen and Adrian being unable to enjoy the father love anymore made her sad.
After they had dinner, the children were worn out. Eliana took Adrian in her arms and so did Maurice
with Aileen. It was only Silas who could barely stand on his own.
Corbin drove over to pick them up.
Eliana and Maurice got into the car with the children in their arms.
The atmosphere in the car was very warm. The ambiance would only be interrupted by soft snores
from the children.
Maurice felt warm in his heart seeing Eliana alternately stroking the twinsâ foreheads. He felt that now
was the time to ask her.
In a low voice, he said, âEliana, I remember that you seemed to date me because you had to tell me
something. Would you care to tell me now?â
Caught by surprise, Eliana froze but only for a while. She then raised her index finger to her lips to
hush Maurice. âThe kids are sleeping. Letâs not disturb them.â
Maurice glanced at the three sleeping children. He nodded, understanding Eliana wasnât prepared to
tell him now.
Anyway, he thought that he and Eliana could have a good talk some other time. Whatever it was that
Eliana wanted to tell him, he thought that they would have time, a lot of time to amply talk about it.
Eliana took a deep breath and then let it escape in a relieved sigh.
In the next second, both her physical and mental fatigue overwhelmed her. Eliana subconsciously
rested her head on Mauriceâs shoulder.
She felt Maurice stiffen for a brief moment. And then, he relaxed and let her lean against him. Eliana
couldnât help but smile.
When the car passed down the tunnel, Maurice saw their reflection in the window. He was jolted by
what he saw. They looked like a family.
There he was, the tall and reliable father⦠Eliana, the gentle mother⦠And Adrian, Aileen, and Silas,
the three adorable children.
An idea popped into his head. Maurice thought he might be willing to live with Eliana and her kids
should Jonathan didnât want them.
Maurice was known to be scrupulous in living his life. Yet, here he was, thinking to accept other
peopleâs children for herâEliana. And she, Eliana, still didnât know about it.
At this point, a certain sadness swept over her.
She leaned on Mauriceâs shoulder and felt her tears flow down her cheeks.
In no time at all, the car arrived at the Pierce familyâs house.
Maurice helped Eliana take the children to the house and then he would pursue his conversation with
her. But then, Corbin came up to him.
âMr. Moran, I got word that something was wrong with the overseas project we have negotiated with
Wilfred. You needs to deal with it urgently.â
The considerate person that she was, Eliana urged Maurice to deal with the problem. âEverythingâs
okay here. Go ahead.â
Maurice looked intently at Eliana. Frowning, he decided to say goodbye.
âOh well⦠Then, I must go now. Iâll be back when Iâm done with my work. And then you can tell me
what it is you intend to tell me.â
Hearing Mauriceâs words, Eliana felt an overwhelming sadness coming over her again.
She knew in her heart that they would never meet againâ¦
This would be the last time they met.
Unable to control herself, Eliana stepped forward, opened her arms, and hugged Maurice.
âBe careful!â
Maurice was both shocked and surprised.
Why was this woman acting this strange?
While he couldnât understand Eliana, he earnestly accepted Elianaâs hug.
Corbin rolled his eyes. He couldnât stand what he was seeing.
âMr. Moran, itâs really time for us to go,â he said in a bored and somewhat irritating tone. âWe canât
catch the plane if we donât leave now.â
Corbinâs words had Maurice and Eliana unraveled from their embrace.
Eliana saw Maurice off with a smile. Seeing his figure disappear from her sight, she reluctantly turned
around and walked back to the house.
Back home, Nana looked at her seriously and asked, âHave you really made up your mind, Eliana?
Because once you do it, you really canât go back anymoreâ¦â
