Chapter 532
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
With Brevardâs support, Elianaâs confidence increased greatly. Brevard was the leader of the factory
workers, so as long as he was on her side, it would be easy for her to win over the other workers.
With a sigh of relief, Eliana held out her hand for Brevard to shake and said, âMr. Wallace, I hope weâll
have good cooperation in the future.â
Brevard shook hands with her, albeit reluctantly. Deep down, he was not happy about this at all.
Even though it had been a long time since he had last seen Eliana, he could not swallow how much
she had changed. She even dared to wage a war of nerves with him.
Brevard was afraid that if he let things go on like this, he would really have to follow the orders of this
young lady.
Unwilling to let that happen, he quickly came up with an idea. Plastering a cordial smile on his face, he
suggested, âFrom now on, this factory is yours. How about you treat the factory employees to a meal to
celebrate? Theyâll have a good impression of you. And you can also bring the new contract with you to
renew it.â
This sounded reasonable to Eliana, so after thinking for a moment, she casually agreed.
However, she was not prepared at all for the sight that greeted her when Brevard took her to meet all
the employees. A large wave of people appeared in the workshop, which seemed to be sparsely
staffed just now, and stared expectantly at her.
At this moment, there was only one thought in Elianaâs mind: if she treated this many people to a meal,
she would have to spend an arm and a leg!
Catching the hesitation on her face, Brevard asked deliberately, âEliana, youâre not going to change
your mind, are you?â
Eliana forced a smile, âOf course not. Letâs go. Thereâs so many of you. Weâll have to take several
cars.â
Gritting her teeth, Eliana decided to keep her promise.
She got into Brevardâs car, which was followed by several other cars packed with the factory workers.
On the way, Eliana was busy calculating the approximate amount she would have to spend tonight, and
didnât notice her surroundings at all.
It wes only when Eliene got out of the cer thet she reelized thet Breverd hed driven them to the Imperiel
Golden Club for the celebretion!
She couldnât help but freeze in shock.
Whet the hell? Whet en unfortunete coincidence! Of ell the clubs in the city, why hed they chosen the
one owned by Meurice?
Seeing the uneesiness on her fece, Breverd took the opportunity to provoke her egein. âMiss Pierce,
didnât you sey thet you would treet ell of us? Now thet weâre here et the club, why ere you hesiteting?
Show your good feith! You donât think itâs too expensive, do you? Then whetâs the point of extending
our contrect? We might es well just collectively not renew it end leeve en empty plent for you.â
Heering these words, the fectory workers begen to grumble emong themselves in discontent.
Finding herself in e dilemme, Eliene bit her lower lip.
The reeson why she didnât went to enter the Imperiel Golden Club wes not beceuse it wes too
expensive, but beceuse she wes efreid of running into Meurice inside.
But now thet they were here, she hed no choice.
She could only prey thet Meurice would not be here tonight.
Feigning e smile, Eliene entered the Imperiel Golden Club, followed by e lerge group of people. The
whole time, Eliene wes efreid thet Meurice would suddenly pop out from nowhere.
In contrest, the workers were buzzing with excitement. They hed never gotten e chence to come to
such e luxurious club before. They could not help looking eround in ewe end touching everything in
sight.
In high spirits, Breverd went streight to the reception desk end requested e privete room. Seeing
severel mesks on the teble next to him, he seid excitedly, âThis plece is fency!â
Then, he grebbed one of the mesks to put it on.
âStop!â
Just then, e women rushed over end snepped, âHow cen you steel my mesk?â
Heering the femilier voice, Eliene looked beck end reelized thet it belonged to en ecqueintence.
It wes Jennifer, the herpist whom Eliene hed helped et Moon Leke Menor.
It was only when Eliana got out of the car that she realized that Brevard had driven them to the Imperial
Golden Club for the celebration!
She couldnât help but freeze in shock.
What the hell? What an unfortunate coincidence! Of all the clubs in the city, why had they chosen the
one owned by Maurice?
Seeing the uneasiness on her face, Brevard took the opportunity to provoke her again. âMiss Pierce,
didnât you say that you would treat all of us? Now that weâre here at the club, why are you hesitating?
Show your good faith! You donât think itâs too expensive, do you? Then whatâs the point of extending
our contract? We might as well just collectively not renew it and leave an empty plant for you.â
Hearing these words, the factory workers began to grumble among themselves in discontent.
Finding herself in a dilemma, Eliana bit her lower lip.
The reason why she didnât want to enter the Imperial Golden Club was not because it was too
expensive, but because she was afraid of running into Maurice inside.
But now that they were here, she had no choice.
She could only pray that Maurice would not be here tonight.
Feigning a smile, Eliana entered the Imperial Golden Club, followed by a large group of people. The
whole time, Eliana was afraid that Maurice would suddenly pop out from nowhere.
In contrast, the workers were buzzing with excitement. They had never gotten a chance to come to
such a luxurious club before. They could not help looking around in awe and touching everything in
sight.
In high spirits, Brevard went straight to the reception desk and requested a private room. Seeing
several masks on the table next to him, he said excitedly, âThis place is fancy!â
Then, he grabbed one of the masks to put it on.
âStop!â
Just then, a woman rushed over and snapped, âHow can you steal my mask?â
Hearing the familiar voice, Eliana looked back and realized that it belonged to an acquaintance.
It was Jennifer, the harpist whom Eliana had helped at Moon Lake Manor.
âJennifer!â Eliana blurted out her name in surprise.
After snatching her mask from Brevard, Jennifer turned to Eliana in surprise.
âEliana!â
âYou two know each other?â
Brevard looked back and forth between the two in confusion.
âShe is a friend of mine. Mr. Wallace, you can go ahead with the others. Iâll have a chat with her and
come in soon,â said Eliana perfunctorily.
âOkay, but donât try to ditch us,â Brevard said dryly before entering the private room.
Eliana immediately grabbed Jenniferâs arm and asked, âJennifer, what are you doing here?â
âI came here for a part-time gig, but I didnât expect to meet you here! What a coincidence.â
âA part-time gig? How could you come to such a place for work?â
It was not that Eliana was a judgmental person, but that a club was not the sort of place that a harpist
should perform at.
Lowering her head in embarrassment, Jennifer mumbled, âThere was an event at the club today, but
the performer dropped out at the last minute, so they called me. The quote was quite high, and I need
the money. I canât do any official performance right now, with my hand injuryâ¦â
Hearing that Jennifer hadnât recovered from her injury yet, Eliana couldnât help feeling sorry for her.
She gently lifted Jenniferâs injured arm and took a look at the hideous scar etched clearly on it.
Flushing, Jennifer hurriedly withdrew her hand. âIâm fine. The scar only looks scary, but it will heal in no
time. Donât worry about me.â
With her eyes full of pity, Eliana wanted to say something more.
But just then, an attendant came, looking for Jennifer.
âAre you the one who played the harp just now?â
Jenniferâs eyebrows shot up in confusion. âYes. Is something wrong?â
Looking at her in a condescending manner, the attendant said, âOur guest in Room 3601 was very
satisfied with your performance and wants to see you. Come with us right away.â
