Chapter 556
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Nana was worried when she saw Adrian and Aileen rush outside, so she followed them.
âWhere is Mommy? How come she suddenly disappeared?â
Adrian was getting anxious. He looked around but didnât see Eliana.
âAdrian, do you think Mommy crossed paths with a bad person? Iâm really worried. Letâs call the police!â
Aileen nervously grabbed her brotherâs hand. Worry was written all over her face.
While the kids were worried, Nana, who was taller than them, saw two personsâ shadows under the big
tree not far away. She instantly figured out everything.
One of the two seemed to be Eliana. She should be fine. She probably didnât want the children to see
the man she was with.
Having understood what was happening, Nana hastened to reassure the two children.
âHey darlings, donât worry. I assure you that your mommy is fine. Itâs so cold. Weâd better hurry back
inside, or weâll catch a cold.â
Hearing what Nana said, Adrian was alerted at once. âNana, how do you know Mommy is fine? Whatâs
going on?â
Adrian was very smart. It was getting more and more difficult to fool him.
Nana couldnât help but sigh in her heart. She looked at the big tree under which Eliana and Maurice
were, and explained aloud, âYour mommy is fine! You kids should know that you should give your
mommy some private time, okay?â
Aileenâs eyes lit up upon hearing what Nana said. She replied immediately, âI understand what you
mean, Nana. You want us to give Mommy more private time to go on a date, right?â
âAileen! Donât talk nonsense!â Adrian said angrily. The idea of his mother dating someone just pissed
him off.
âAdrian, you are still a kid. You canât understand such things. I wonât blame you,â Aileen said calmly,
patting Adrian on the shoulder like an adult. As she did, she couldnât help laughing.
Adrianâs face grew red with anger. He wanted to argue with Aileen, but before he could open his mouth
Nana grabbed his and Aileenâs hands and led them back inside.
Meanwhile, Eliana was hiding behind the big tree. It wasnât until the children had returned to the house
that she breathed a sigh of relief and walked out from behind the tree.
âWhy are we hiding? Itâs not like your kids have never seen me before.â
Mauriceâs face darkened. He didnât understand why Eliana had dragged him here.
She was so nervous, like they might be caught committing adultery.
The moment Eliana saw her kids, she didnât think twice and just pulled Maurice away subconsciously.
Why did she do that?
âDonât think too much, I just feel a bit ashamedâ¦â Eliana explained shyly.
âAshamed?â Mauriceâs face became even gloomier, as if he was going to lose his temper any moment.
âAre you ashamed of me?â he asked coldly.
âNo, no, no!â Eliana was stunned that he would think such a thing. His cold aura frightened her to the
bones. She shook her head and explained, âItâs all my fault. When we moved, I told the kids that I
would never see you again. If they see us together, theyâll think Iâve gone back on my word. That would
destroy the image of the honest mommy in their hearts.â
Eliana looked really miserable as she explained the matter to Maurice. Maurice couldnât help laughing
at this moment.
He gently stroke Elianaâs forehead with his fingertips and said, âI told you not to make promises
casually. See what youâve gotten yourself into now?â
It wasnât until Mauriceâs fingertips touched Elianaâs cold skin that he realized they had been standing
outside for a long time. He was fine, but Elianaâs hair was still wet and she was wearing thin clothes.
No wonder she was so cold.
It they stayed here, she would definitely catch a cold.
âCome, follow me,â he said, pulling Eliana towards his car.
Eliana tried to protest, but he quietly shoved her into his car.
Once in the car, he turned on the heat and then took out a clean towel which he handed to her.
âGet your hair dry,â he said with a gentle smile.
âThank you.â
Eliana gladly took the towel. The heat in the car did her a world of good. She had been out for so long
that she was almost frozen.
She took the towel and began to dry her hair.
While Eliana was drying her hair, Mauriceâs eyes unconsciously fell on her hair which had been partially
cut off.
He was the one who cut it last night.
He guessed that Eliana didnât remember what happened last night. After all, she was drunk. Otherwise,
she would have already come to get even with him.
Maurice stifled his laughter, afraid that Eliana would notice it.
However, his eyes betrayed his laughter. Eliana could no longer hide her discomfort. She covered her
partially cut hair and said angrily, âStop looking at it! How dare you laugh after cutting my hair?â
