Chapter 584
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
After Silas mentioned that he came from the Moran family, the car suddenly halted.
Earleâs cars were chasing after them.
The driver was alarmed by what Silas said and anxiously looked back at the vehicles following them.
The Moran family was famous in the local area. If he offended the family, he would meet a terrible end.
Rutherford could tell that the driver was having second thoughts. He threatened, âWhatâs the matter?
Are you afraid? Does the Moran family scare you? How about Mr. Bowman? Arenât you afraid of him?â
The driver trembled at the thought of what Jonathan could do to him.
He couldnât afford to offend either of those people!
Another man reasoned, âBesides, what the child said might not be true. As far as I know, Maurice
doesnât have a son.â
Mr. Bowman! Jonathan!
All of a sudden, a thought occurred to Adrian. âAre you referring to Jonathan Bowman?â he blurted out.
Rutherford ruffled Adrianâs hair with a slight smile on his face. In an ominous voice, he said, âGood boy.
Youâre right. I thought you would be happy to hear the news. I know youâve missed Mr. Bowman.â
Jonathan was behind all of this!
Adrianâs eyes filled with tears at his words. Realization dawned on him.
Adrian blamed himself for what happened.
If he hadnât texted Jonathan, they wouldnât have gotten caught!
He didnât expect Jonathan to go after him and his sister. Now even Silas was in danger.
If they went missing, Eliana would be worried!
Rutherford was still ruffling Adrianâs hair. Adrian felt nauseous. He made up his mind at that moment.
Suddenly, he bit Rutherford firmly without hesitation.
âOuch!â
Adrian latched onto Rutherford as hard as he could. Rutherford immediately withdrew his hand as he
howled in pain.
âYou brat!â
Rutherford rubbed his hand and glared at Adrian.
He was a man who was skilled at dealing with people from all works of life. Never in his life had he ever
been hurt by a child. Anger simmered inside of him.
He lifted his hand and was about to lash out at the child when someone yelled, âAdrian!â
Aileen was about to pounce on Rutherford, but Silas got to him faster and bumped his head against
Rutherford.
The movement came from nowhere, and Rutherford didnât have time to dodge. His head spun, and his
vision blurred.
âDamn it!â
Rutherford was infuriated. He was so furious that he turned his head towards the weakest child, which
was Aileen.
As he was about to slap her, the car suddenly stopped.
Rutherford lost his balance and lurched forward. After that, Adrian and Silas held Aileen away from
him.
âWhat the hell is going on?â
Rutherford raised his head with a murderous expression on his face.
âShit! Rutherford, theyâre coming after us!â The driver scrambled to start the car.
He wanted to drive the car away, but there was nowhere for them to go.
Their car was surrounded by Earleâs cars.
When Rutherfordâs car halted, Earle stepped out of his Rolls-Royce and approached. There was an air
of authority in him, and his eyes were fierce.
He slammed his cane against the window and shouted, âOpen the door! Now!â
Silas was filled with hope when he saw Earle.
âYou see that man out there? Heâs my great-grandfather! Thereâs nowhere for you to go! Let us go
now!â
As Rutherford gazed at the vehicles surrounding them, he realized that the child must have been telling
the truth. Silas was a member of the Moran family!
âRutherford⦠Weâre⦠What should we do?â
The driver was so terrified that he couldnât form coherent sentences.
Rutherfordâs brows furrowed as he thought of a way to maneuver out of this sticky situation.
He earned a living by doing illegal things, and he couldnât afford to get caught by the Moran family.
When the two sides reached a stalemate, Adrian spoke up. âI advise you to think about what youâll do
next. Jonathan even wanted to kidnap children. I donât think he cares about his men. If you got caught,
do you think he would go out of his way to save you?â
The expression on Rutherfordâs face changed.
Silas immediately understood what Adrian was trying to do. He was trying to get Rutherford to turn
against Jonathan. âThe best thing for you to do is to let us go. If you let us leave the car, I can persuade
my great-grandfather to let you go.â
Rutherford gazed out the window and knew he couldnât take the twins today.
Silas had provided him with a way to escape.
Rutherford suddenly looked down at the three children inside the car and came to a conclusion. The
best thing for him was to let them go and attempt to run away.
However, he wasnât sure if his plan would work.
He didnât think the Moran family would let him go without paying the consequences.
