Chapter 660
The Adorable Twins and Their CEO Daddy
Mauriceâs hand signing the document paused. Annoyed, he asked, âWhat did you say? Make it clear.â
Wyatt said indifferently, âItâs nothing. I just gave up my rights to the inheritance of the Todd family.â
âWhat? What do you mean you gave up?â
Maurice was utterly shocked.
âI said I gave up my rights to the inheritance of the Todd family. Why are you so shocked? Actually, I
should have done it long ago. Donât you know? Iâm not fit for business at all. I donât have a gift like you.
Even since we were kids, I could never compete with you in business, right?â
Maurice was silent for a moment. Then he said, âActually, you donât have to compete with me.â
By this time, Wyatt had already let go of all the knots in his heart.
âYes, I understand what you mean. Although Iâm not as good as you at doing business, you may not
win me in other aspects.â
Maurice didnât sense any trace of disappointment in Wyattâs tone, so he was finally relieved.
Wyatt was his best friend, so he would support Wyatt no matter what.
Now that he was relaxed, he joked, âIs there anything I canât compete with you?â
âWell, youâre not as good as me at chasing a woman,â Wyatt said proudly. âYou should marry Eliana as
soon as possible. Otherwise, Nicole and I will get married ahead of you.â
âHave you and Nicole reconciled?â Maurice asked, raising his eyebrows.
Now he knew why Wyatt suddenly gave up his rights to the inheritance of the Todd family.
If it was for Nicole, everything would be reasonable.
Wyatt said proudly, âYes, of course. So you should marry Eliana as soon as possible. And I want her to
design our wedding rings.â
âCongratulations then.â
Now that Wyatt got what he wanted, Maurice was truly happy for him.
But when he thought of Elianaâs current condition, his heart sank.
âDonât rush me. Eliana is not in good health recently. Whatâs more important now is you and Nicole. You
have to marry her immediately. I have to go now. Bye.â
Maurice hung up the phone with a smile.
He looked at the clock on the wall and found it was time to pick Eliana up.
It had only been half a day since he didnât see her, but he was already missing her.
Maurice quickly finished all his work, settled the children, and rushed to the hospital.
Before taking Eliana out of the hospital, he went to the doctor first and asked about her condition
carefully.
And he was happy to hear the good news.
âYour company last night was very helpful to the patient. She didnât have an attack, which is a good
sign. She can be discharged now. But continue observing her for a while. If there is no problem, it
means she has fully recovered.â
Maurice was relieved to hear that.
But for some reason, he had a faint sense of uneasiness in his heart.
He was reminded of Jonathanâs threat to him that day.
Why was Jonathan so sure that he would send Eliana back?
While Maurice was distracted, Eliana walked over to him.
âWhat are you thinking? Why are you so absorbed in your thoughts?â
Maurice suddenly came back to his senses. And when he saw that Elianaâs face was still a little pale,
he couldnât help worrying. âEliana, is there really nothing wrong with your body? I always feel that
something is wrongâ¦â
Eliana forced a smile. âDonât think too much. The doctor said I am fine, right?â
âYeah. Maybe Iâm just thinking too much.â
Maurice temporarily put down the doubts in his heart and picked Eliana up.
âLetâs go home.â
Eliana was so frightened that she wrapped her arms around Mauriceâs neck. Her face flushed in
embarrassment.
âAhhh! What are you doing? There are other people here. Put me down.â
But Maurice didnât seem to mind at all. He looked as calm as usual. âNo, I wonât. Iâll carry my woman,
and they can watch as long as they want.â
Eliana was defeated by Mauriceâs insistence. As a result, he walked from the ward to the parking lot,
carrying her in his arms and under the gaze of many people.
On their way home, Maurice excitedly shared what had happened this morning with Eliana. When he
said that Aileen finally called him dad, he couldnât help smiling.
Eliana listened quietly with a smile on her face.
She thought it was great. Maurice would definitely be a good father in the future, even without her.
