Chapter 1205
A Life Debt Repaid
Cordy simply stood there, watching them kiss for a long while.
Her legs were starting to feel sore when those two finally pulled away, but they were obviously reluctant to stop.
When Wendy finally pulled away from the manâs embrace, she took him by the hand and started to pull him along⦠until she turned and found Cordy standing there.
âWoah!â she exclaimed, clearly shocked to the core while Cordy stared at her calmly.
The man with her was startled too and could not help asking, âWhatâs wrong, baby?â
âN-Nothing,â Wendy stammered guiltily.
The man then glanced between her and Cordy. âWho is she? Friend of yours?â
âUh, hmmâ¦â Wendy stammered for a while and finally said, âCan you wait for me over there? Iâll come back to you laterâ¦â
âI thought weâre heading straight to a hotel, babe,â the man chuckled, even nuzzling against her. âI canât wait already.â
Wendy appeared even more embarrassed at that and pushed the man away, âCome on, just go. Be a good boy now.â
âOkay, Iâll wait.â The man had to leave obediently, seeing that Wendy was serious about it.
Cordy watched as the man left before turning toward Wendy, who smiled gingerly. âSmall world, huh, Cordy?â
âSmall world indeed.â Cordy sneered.
âAre you alone?â
âDoes that matter?â Cordy asked.
âI mean, I have a few more friends waiting. Why donât you hang out with us?â Wendy offered. âTheyâre all real studs thereâ¦â
Cordyâs eyes narrowed sharply, and she was suddenly glowering visibly.
Wendy clearly noticed that and stopped pretending right then.
âLook, Iâm still young, and I can get a little playful sometimes,â she admitted. âBut this is just a game, and Iâm serious about John. Can you not tell him what you just saw?â
âNo.â Cordy was determined.
âCome on, Cordy,â Wendy purred. âWeâre both women. You donât have to be so cruel, right? I can introduce you to some pretty boysâsatisfaction guaranteed.â
âWendy, donât think everyoneâs like youâ¦â Cordy retorted, refraining from obscenities.
âYou just havenât had a taste yet,â Wendy said confidently. âOnce you have, youâll understand why.â
âI donât need that.â
âItâd be a waste even if you lived long.â
âIâm talking to you about your relationship with John right now, Wendy.â Cordy said sternly.
Wendy took a deep breath and said slowly, âThatâs between me and John. It has nothing to do with you.â
Cordy was actually stumped, and Wendy suddenly seemed to grow a spine and continued confidently, âI mean, youâre just Johnâs ex and nothing else. You have no right to meddle in our relationship, let alone interfere with whatever happens between us!â
However, Cordy was equally staunch. âNo, I donât have a right to meddle, but itâs also my freedom to decide whether I should tell John what I saw you do tonight.â
And with that, she had no intention to keep arguingâWendy obviously had no moral compass, and more words were just a waste of time.
She had barely walked a couple steps when Wendy suddenly jumped in front of her, cutting her off.
While she glared coolly at Wendy, Wendy suddenly seemed to yield and apologized!
âLook, Cordy, I know I made a mistake, but donât tell John, alright?â Wendy cried miserably. âJohn and I are serious⦠I just couldnât resist the temptation, but I swear I wonât do this again, okay? Never ever!â
While Cordy pursed her lips, she added, âI promise Iâll be eternally loyal to John from now on. Just give me a chance, alright?â
Cordy was actually left hesitant.
