Chapter 1422
A Life Debt Repaid
âIâm sorry,â Quinn apologized. âI didnât know⦠It came early this time.â
âYeah.â Sam nodded-he did not blame her since she was not at fault.
In fact, no one would know, and one could only blame the heavens for being unfair.
He had been abstaining for her sake for three years, and when he finally thought it was finally timeâ¦
Whatever, it did not matter.
Sam sighed heavily, and Quinn thought he was disappointed in her and felt hurt.
Even so, she mustered her courage and asked, âAre we going to do it again?â
Sam did a double take, and snapped loudly, âYa think?! Weâre doing it the instant itâs over!â
Quinnâs sullen mood cleared up right thenâshe was so worried he would give up because of this!
Having his assurance now, she quickly said, âThen Iâll go back to my room. I shouldnât bother you from sleeping.â
Before she could leave, Sam asked, âWhere are you going?â
âBack to my room.â
âYou already came to mine, and youâre going back Even if they could not do it right now, could they not just cuddle?!
âBut Iâm on my periodâ¦â
âSo what?â Sam shot back.
Quinn was left feeling awkward. âDidnât you say we were going to wait? Iâd really rather notâ¦â
âWhat do you take me for?! If I wanted it that badly, I wouldâve bled you dry!â Sam snorted grumpily.
âLook, weâre sharing a bed from now on whether weâre doing it or not.â
âYou mean⦠weâre sleeping together from now on?â
âAre you saying no?â
âNo.â Quinn promptly shook her head-she The man certainly did not look the part!
Still, he got into bed first and lay on one side. âCome here already. Iâm sleepy after all that mess.â
Quinn did not hesitate and lay down on the other side.
As the lights were dimmed, she felt like there was a huge gap between them that could fit up to four people⦠until Sam moved.
As her heart skipped a beat, he pulled her into his arms.
She stiffened all over. âSamâ¦â
âRather you didnât roll off bed,â Sam snorted.
Quinn stopped moving right then, keeping her back to him.
As he towering form enveloped hers, she felt like she was curling within his arms.
He held her so tightly there was not a spot where air could escape, and the night turned silent.
Neither of them spoke, but Quinn could feel Samâs heart thumping from the back.
Her heart was racing with an irregular pace as well.
She suspected she was not going to fall asleep tonight either ânot when Sam had her in his arms like this.
Still, she suddenly relaxed as Samâs breathing turned rhythmic behind herself and gingerly turned to face him.
She could see his handsome, chiseled face under the moonâs glow.
He was actually good-looking, though his hard features made him look a little fierce.
When he smiled, he was exceedingly bewitching.
Leaning in to kiss his lips, she whispered, âI love you, Sam.â
