“John!” Cordy grabbed his arm.

“It’s unfair for you,” John said with self-restraint.

“It doesn’t matter,” Cordy replied very firmly.

She would not regret anything that happened tonight regardless of their future and the result.

“I’m sorry.”

John pushed her hand away, but she exerted great strength until her fingernails were stabbed into his skin.

Her eyes full of tears, her gaze was asking him to stay, but he was unmoved.

He pushed her away and left her side.

Cordy soon burst into tears.

Gradually, her tears fell on her pillow.

John picked up his phone and walked to the balcony.

It was a call from Nana.

He just watched his phone ring endlessly, but he did not pick it up.

He quietly adjusted his feelings and made himself slowly cool down.

Nana kept on calling him.

John knew Nana very well. She would insist on doing the thing she wanted.

If he did not pick up her calls, she would keep on calling him.

She would not give up.

After taking a deep breath, he answered the call. “Hello.”

“Are you asleep?” Nana was not angry.

She made at least twenty calls, but she did not show any anger. She just very gently asked him what he was doing.

“No.” John made an excuse. “I was showering just now.”

“I’m not sleeping either. I can’t sleep without you by my side. ” Nana sounded slightly coquettish.

“Where are you and Cordy now?” Nana asked calmly.

She did imagine the possibility that Cordy might use the most extreme method to seduce Lucas, but she felt that he would not be tempted given his character.

However, she was still scared.

Lying in bed, all she could think of was John and Cordy’s fervent scenes in bed.

Hence, she could not help calling him after holding herself back for a day.

“It’s late. Go to bed early.” John seemed like he did not want to say much, and he was about to end the call.

“Lucas.” Nana stopped him. “I won’t make a fuss about the past no matter what as long as you solely belong to me after our marriage.”

John cut it off.

The suppressed emotions in his heart made him want to disregard everything and vent his feelings out for a moment.

After a long time, he gradually calmed down.

He was back in the room.

Cordy had put on her clothes well, but she was not sleeping in bed. On the other hand, she was sitting on the sofa next to it and waiting for him.
