“I believe in you too, Ms. Sachs,” Stacy quickly chimed in. “It wasn’t easy for Starstream Group to turn over a new leaf, and it’s not worth falling to this setback. I’m with you as we do all we can to resolve this crisis.”

“We’re with you too, Ms. Sachs!”

All at once, the atmosphere was charged by the sudden show of solidarity with Cordy.

Noel was naturally scowling slightly–Cordy genuinely surpassed her expectations.

Forget being calm despite the serious crisis and the prospect of bankruptcy–she had somehow managed to draw everyone to her cause even now!

Still, Noel’s eyes flashed dangerously.

So what if everyone was standing with Noel? It was just an appeal to emotion.

She would never believe that Cordy could save Starstream Group on her own!

And yet, Noel’s face fell the instant she returned to the office.

Every article of Cordy’s scandal which topped search trends had been removed–all of them! There was nothing on Cordy, and while there were more than a few threads and web content discussing it, any YouTube video or Instagram clip discussing it had been set to private access. In fact, just typing ‘Cordy Sachs‘ as a search keyword would automatically redirect searchers to a page announcing a webpage takedown.

Noel’s eyes were red from rage.

Cordy was actually that influential that she could control the internet?!

Someone must be helping her, and it went without saying that it was John.

Noel could not help fuming.

She just could not understand. Was that man blind? Why would he help such a disgusting woman?!

Her phone rang just then, and she answered, “Yes, Kyle?”

“Why’s the news on Cordy being taken down?!” Kyle snapped indignantly.

“I just saw it myself, but my guess is that it’s John Levine. No one aside from him would have such influence to scrub the internet clean!”

“Cordy really is impressive when it comes to seducing men,” Kyle growled through his teeth.

“It’s fine, Kyle. Even without the news, that wave before is more than enough to destroy Cordy. The antis who are flaming Starstream Group would also keep going, denying them any chance from turning things around. That said…”

“What is it?” Kyle asked, a little eager just then.

“My sister said she’s organizing a press conference tomorrow, and they’re now inviting the important media outlets of North City. I’m sure none of them would refuse since she’s a hot topic right now.”

“She really is thick–skinned. Calling a press conference now? Hasn’t she been flamed enough?!”

“I don’t know what gives her the confidence to do it, but I’m sure she must have her reason. I’m a little worried, so don’t you think you should talk to some of the journalists attending the press conference?”

Noel suggested.

After she had seen the composure and competence Cordy showed since the crisis began, she had certainly become very wary toward Cordy and she was not willing to risk anything at all.

“Don’t worry–just leave it to me.” Kyle’s eyes flashed viciously.

He never wanted to fight Cordy to such an extent, but it was Cordy’s own fault for being unreasonable.

No matter how humiliated she would end up, she deserved everything that was coming at her!
