He was not acquainted with the Fletcher family, and expecting their help in

locating someone in Eldoria was unrealistic. There was no point in him to

Just as he was about to exit the living room, a middle–aged man with several

subordinates hurried in through the door.

“Mr. Lowe, please wait!”

The middle–aged man spoke up.

Emmanuel stopped and glanced at the man, but he remained silent.

Though he didn’t recognize the middle–aged man, his resemblance to Raina

“My name is Jake, head of the Fletcher family. I rushed over as soon as Raing

told me you were here, and I’d appreciate it if you could stay a bit longer–1

have something I’d like to discuss with you.”

Emmanuel looked at him again, considering that even if he dispatched an

elite battalion to Eldoria’s border, it would take at least a day. So, he decided

to hear the man out.

After Emmanuel nodded, Jake brightened with a smile. He invited, “Mr. Lowe,

please!”

He personally led Emmanuel to his study, closed the door, and stationed two

trusted aides outside to ensure they wouldn’t be disturbed.

Emmanuel noted the arrangement with a frown. It seemed Jake wanted to

keep their discussion private.

“Mr. Lowe, I heard the Quillen family was purged last month?” Jake began.

confirmation from me. Just tell me what you want.”

“Uh, okay!”

Jake hesitated briefly, then decided to be straightforward. “I know that the

Nuthana Chamber of Commerce doesn’t typically heed Mr. Tanner’s

directives. Since the Quillen family is now the president of the Nuthana

Chamber of Commerce, they must be facing pressure from Mr. Tanner. The

Fletcher family is interested in forming an alliance with you.”

advantage. Still, he remained cautious and asked, “Why is the Fletcher family

so interested? Are you also under pressure from Teddy?”

“How shall explain it?” Jake exhaled, thinking for a moment before

responding, “The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce wouldn’t go after a

smaller family like ours directly, but the Fletcher family still feels the pressure

of the Chamber of Commerce pays close attention to its power dynamics.

They have partnered with the Quill family to support their dominance in

business and politics in Eldoria!

“Previously, Eldoria was balanced between the Fletcher, Toma, and Quill

families. Now, the Fletcher family has been pushed to the periphery by the

Quill family!

Emmanuel could see the genuine anxiety in his eyes.

Emmanuel’s trust in him grew. Without any previous connections between

the Quillen and Fletcher families, he felt a partnership based solely on mutual

“You can join forces with us but must show your sincerity!” Emmanuel finally

spoke, his words were concise and to the point.

Jake wasn’t foolish. He immediately responded, “As long as you agree to help

us deal with the Quillen family, I will do everything in my power to find your

sister.”

“Smart move!” Emmanuel said, satisfied with the terms. “If you find my sister,

I’ll make sure to repay the favor, no matter what you ask for.”

“Understood. My requirements are clear now!”
