Quintus led the vanguard squad, swiftly tracking the target’s movements as they headed southeast.

Mackenzie and her team followed at a safe distance, protected by top experts from the Ophanim Clan, including Rhett and Anna, along with seventy members of the Wolf Warrior Unit. With such a formidable lineup, Mackenzie’s safety was assured.

To avoid alerting the enemy, they kept a deliberate distance from Quintus‘ vanguard, careful not to get

close too soon.

Quintus, accompanied by twelve elite operatives, quickly closed the gap with the slow–moving target.

The bandits had entered a stone forest–an eerie terrain in the West End, nearly devoid of vegetation and filled with a labyrinth of jagged stone formations. Tracking them in such a maze would have been almost impossible without a military positioning system.

Following Mackenzie’s orders, Quintus shadowed the group cautiously, careful not to be detected until the Five Poison Sect members revealed themselves.

Deeper in the stone forest, the bandits finally paused to rest. The group consisted of twelve burly men. Aside from their hairy–chested leader, the others were ordinary men with robust builds.

Even the leader posed no real threat to Quintus–just an insignificant pest he could easily squash. Yet, the man carried himself with an air of arrogance, befitting the head of a bandit gang.

“D*mn those b*stards from the Five Poison Sect! It takes a full day and night to deliver their tribute–what a pain in the ass!” the hairy–chested leader, Bernard, grumbled as he sat down.

“Mr. Bernard, keep it down!” A tall; skinny man with a goatee hurried over, cautioning, “This is the territory of the Five Poison Sect’s branch. If their people overhear us, we’re done for!”

Bernard immediately clamped his mouth shut, his earlier arrogance replaced by visible fear. The mere mention of the sect clearly sent shivers down his spine.

Though their group could terrorize the locals with over a hundred men, they wouldn’t stand a chance against the Five Poison Sect. Crossing them meant certain death.

“Mr. Bernard, we should keep moving!” The tall, skinny man urged, a sly grin spreading across his face. “I heard the Five Poison Sect’s Stone Forest branch recently captured many young women for the Serpent King. If our tribute pleases them, we might get a few to enjoy ourselves.”

Bernard slapped his thigh in excitement. “Oh, right! I almost forgot! The Five Poison Sect offers 666 young girls to the Serpent King every six months. With New Year’s Day approaching, it’s time for the next tribute!”

“Exactly!” The skinny man smirked. “And we’ve got a good relationship with the Central Protector of this branch. With the exquisite jade and gemstones we’ve brought, I’m sure he’ll reward us with a few women.”

At this, the eyes of the other men lit up with eager anticipation.

Though they were bandits, they rarely dared to abduct women. Most women in the West End avoided mountain roads due to the dangers, and young, beautiful women were an even rarer sight.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s go!” Bernard, practically drooling, rallied his men. They hoisted their newly footed jade and gemstones without resting further and resumed their trek.

“D*mn it!” Quintus, who had been covertly tailing them clenched his teeth as he overheard their conversation. “Of all the se*m in the world, I despise those who harm women the most! Stay on their tail, and we’ll wipe them out when the time is right!”

“Yes, Mr. Quifitus!”

The operatives of the Wolf Warrior Unit, hailing from the Dark Night Islands, shared a deep–seated disdain for offenders of this kind. Their battle spirits flared, and their killing intent surged as they prepared to bring justice.

Following the bandits deeper into the stone forest, they soon spotted a stone structure ahead. Though rudimentary, it exuded an intimidating aura, like a colossal venomous creature lurking in the mountains.

Solana quickly approached Quintus, her voice tense as she said, “Mr. Quintus, those people are from the Five Poison Sect!”

Having clashed with them before on Ken’s territory, they were all too familiar with the sect’s distinctive attire. Nearly all wore necklaces shaped like venomous snakes, marking them as followers of the Serpent King.

“Magnus was right again,” Quintus muttered with a grudging nod. Despite his dislike for Magnus, he couldn’t help but admire the man’s sharp intellect. If only I had half his wits, Mackenzie would’ve fallen for me long ago.

His thoughts were abruptly interrupted by piercing cries from the stone building ahead.

“Help me!”

“No, stop it!”

“Let go of me, you monsters!”

The cries set Quintus ablaze with fury. His voice boomed like thunder. “Those beasts! Charge in and kill them all!”

“Mr. Quintus, shouldn’t we proceed cautiously?” one of his team members asked calmly. “We don’t know what’s inside yet. Charging in blindly might be dangerous.”

Solana scoffed, stepping forward. “Danger? Against these sc*ms, I’d burn the place to ashes. What’s there to hesitate about?”

With Solana’s support, Quintus made his decision. “Move out!”

They advanced swiftly, cutting down several patrolling members of the Five Poison Sect as they approached the source of the cries.

Bursting into a large stone chamber, Quintus‘ rage peaked at the sight before him. The room, spanning over a hundred square feet, was filled with young women–many barely in their twenties–huddled in

terror.

Bernard had just grabbed the wrist of a delicate young girl, preparing to pull her into his arms, when Quintus and his team stormed in. The girl’s eyes lit up the sight of Quintus, his upright demeanor a stark contrast to the scum around her. “Sir, please save ne!” she cried desperately.

“You filth!” Quintus roared, his fury uncontainable. In one swift step, he reached Bernard and delivered a bone–crushing blow that snapped his neck, killing him instantly.

Bernard’s men froze in terror. This towering man was like a demon!

Even the girl recoiled slightly, stunned by Quintus‘ sheer ferocity.

“Kill them all!” Quintus barked.

With his command, Solana and the others sprang into action. Against the Wolf Warrior Unit, these thugs didn’t stand a chance. They were swiftly taken down with bare hands, their resistance crumbling in

moments.

The once–deafening room fell silent, save for the shallow, trembling breaths of the freed women. Still in shock, many cowered in the corners, unable to believe their ordeal was over.

Quintus glanced at the lifeless bodies on the ground and spat, his voice resounding as he called to the women, “You’re free now. Leave this place at once!”
