Chapter 2129 Showdown on the Hill Rhett vs Aora
Trusted
âAora, Mackenzieâs men have the mountain surroundeâ Azureâs voice broke the tense silence as he scrambled up the hill, glancing back nervously. They were trappedâcornered like fish in a barrel. Unless they had wings, there was no way out.
Aora crouched nearby, clenched his fists, and growled, Mackenzie, Iâll make you pay for this. One day, Iâll kill you.â
The hill theyâd fled to wasnât much of a refuge. It was small, steep, and easy for Mackenzieâs wellâequipped Wolf Warrior Unit to storm. Yet, Mackenzie wasnât rushing. She stood at the foot of the hill, arms crossed, assessing the situation.
She thought, This terrain is brutal, and weâre already short on people. If I send more troops up the hill, it might give Aora and Azure the perfect chance to escape. I canât afford to make careless decisions right now. Aoraâs not just a tough fighterâheâs a poison expert. One slipâup and it could all fall apart.
Just then, Rhett stated calmly, âIâll handle this. Weâve fought twice before without a clear winner. This time, Iâll end it.â
Mackenzie frowned. âAre you sure? Facing Aora alone is risky. What ifâ
âI know how to deal with his poison, and sending a whole team after him will just give them an opening Trust meâthis is the best approach,â he interrupted, his tone steady.
The confidence in Rhettâs voice left no room for argument. He wasnât just any fighter. As the King of Dark Night Island, he thrived on challenges like thisâa battle against someone as formidable as Aora was an opportunity to sharpen his skills.
âRhett, Iâll come with you,â Anna and Falcon offered in unison.
Rhett glanced at Anna. âAlright, youâre with me. Letâs keep it fairâoneâonâone duels. Thatâs how we do things.â
Mackenzie sighed, realizing there was no changing Rhettâs mind. âFine, but be careful. Weâve got the upper hand right nowâdonât take any unnecessary risks.â
âAppreciate the concern, Your Holiness.â Rhett smirked, dodging any solid commitment. This was the mark of a true warriorâdetermined to face Aora in a fair fight and bring him down on his own terms.
As night fell, the hill plunged into darkness, the shadows growing thicker with each passing minute. For Rhett and Anna, the lack of light was just another challenge. For Aora and Azure, it was a perfect cover. Yet, Rhett and Anna felt a thrillâthey welcomed the challenge, finding it an exciting twist to an otherwise routine battle.
From their hiding spot, Azure whispered, âAora, someoneâs coming.â While his combat skills and internal strength couldnât rival Aoraâs, his sharp senses and keen observation were unmatched among the four.
Nora grinned. âI know. Itâs Rhettâhe just canât help himself, can he? Once I take him out, Mackenzieâs
entire plan falls apart. Without their leader, the rest are nothing but headless chickens.â
âThatâs how it always works.â Azure nodded. Though he was a martial artist, he had a knack for strategy and tactics. His experience with planning and games taught him that eliminating the leader was the quickest way to bring the whole operation down.

Chapter 2129 Showdown on the Hill: Rhett vs. Aoral
They melted into the shadows, ready to strike.
# Finished
Rhett and Anna advanced cautiously, their footsteps barely making a sound as they scanned the area. Rhettâs sharp gaze cut through the dark while Annaâs instincts kept her alert.
Rustling bushes drew Anaâs attention. She lashed out with precision. âShow yourself!â
As one of the Three Titans of the Ophanim Clan, her skills were razorâsharp, and her movements precise. Yet when her attack landed, the bush was empty.
âSeriously?â Her eyes narrowed, frustration flickering across her face. Did I really misjudge that? she thought, a hint of doubt creeping in.
Thatâs when two figures burst from the shadows, aiming straight for her.
âLetâs take out the weaker one first,â Aora taunted, his voice dripping with mockery.
Anna braced herself, knowing she couldnât take on both attackers at once. She locked onto the one in front, determined to hold her ground.
Meanwhile, Azure watched closely from a safe distance his movements deliberate and calculated, He wasnât in a rushâhe knew Aora would finish Anna off soon enough.
âDie!â Aora lunged at Anna, his attack swift and deadly.
Caught off guard, Anna had no way to defend herself. At the last second, a crimson bfur intercepted the
blow.
âRhett!â Anna gasped, relief washing over her. She knew he wouldnât leave her behindâyears of fighting side by side had built an unshakable bond of trust.
Rhett urged, âYou go after the other one. This oneâs mine.â
âGot it!â Anna smirked, wasting no time. She darted toward Azure, pushing him out of the fight and leaving Rhett and Aora to face off.
The two rivals stood still, their gazes locked. The tension was palpable.
Rhett simply smirked and launched his attack. Instead of finishing quickly, he held back and drew out the fight.
âYouâve got guts, Iâll give you that,â Aora stated in an almost amused tone. He thought, You trust Anna, and I trust Azure. Heâs the smartest and most unpredictable among us.
Rhettâs reply was calm and deliberate. âI respect your strength, Aora. Still, this ends tonight. Oneâonâone, no tricks.â
âOneâonâone? You really think you can handle it?â Aora scoffed.
Rhett gestured to his gas mask and replied confidently, This mask neutralizes one of your deadliest tricks. As long as I donât let you get the upper hand, your poison wonât touch me.â
Maybe, but you think youâve figured out all my tricks? Sure, your internal strength might surpass mine, but your technique is no match for me. I just need to avoid a direct clash to turn this fight in my favor.â Aora shifted into a fighting stance, his movements steady and deliberate.

âLetâs see if youâre as confident as you sound,â Rhett retorted. He swiftly flung his crimson cloak forward, the fabric snapping through the air like a whip. Two ghostly red shapes shot toward Aora, fast and precise.
Aora dodged, leaping onto a nearby tree to avoid the sinke. The two warriors moved like shadows, their figures blurring as they clashed in the dark.
âAora, youâve improved, Rhett admitted. His voice was low and raspy, carrying an ominous weight like the whisper of a grim reaper as he pushed Aora further up the hill.
âYou didnât think Iâd stay the same with poisoning people, did you?â Aora laughed, his movements were slippery and unpredictable. He kept his distance, striking only when Rhett left an opening.
âPlaying it safe wonât win you this fight,â Rhett growled, le closed the gap with a burst of speed, his red cloak slicing through the air.
