Chapter 2140 The Arrival

“Stop! Stop fighting, please!”

Aora’s voice rang out, loud and commanding. Yet, neither of the combatants seemed to care. Both of the Grand Protector were masters of poison, but each had their own distinct methods. The Toad King excelled in using poisoned blood, unleashing a passive, wide–reaching attack.

On the other hand, Scorpion Belle specialized in venomous strikes, particularly with her deadly tail. In one–on–one combat, she was nearly invincible.

The Toad King had narrowly avoided Rhett’s lethal strike earlier, and now, surrounded on unfamiliar ground, he was slowly being overwhelmed after a few dozen exchanges.

Aora rushed to intervene. Though his martial arts skills were slightly superior to both combatants, he could not stop them both at once. Struggling to maintain fairness, he was at a loss.

“Heh, this is going to be entertaining!”

At that moment, a creature with six arms strode into the room.

It was the Centipede Lord!

Anyone else who saw such a creature would likely be paralyzed with fear, but the five Grand Protector of the Five Poison Sect were anything but ordinary. To them, this was just another oddity.

Both Scorpion Belle and the Toad King were incensed, pushing their fight to even more extreme measures, as they prepared to use their most lethal techniques.

Aora’s patience reached its limit. He felt an overwhelming urge to strike the Centipede Lord and be rid of this troublemaking scoundrel once and for all.

Just as the situation seemed on the verge of spiraling out of control, a cool, clear voice interrupted.

“Many years have passed, and the old generation has been replaced by the new, yet you Grand Protector still follow the old ways of infighting like dogs biting dogs.”

A moment later, a graceful, captivating woman entered the room, accompanied by a woman in red. “It’s the Redback Matriarch!”

Scorpion Belle’s eyes softened the instant she saw the woman, as though a child encountering an elder. She immediately became obedient.

Toad King also snorted in discontent, but he stopped engaging with Scorpion Belle and respectfully greeted the woman.

“Greetings, Redback Matriarch,”

“Ah, the Arachnid King has arrived as well, the Centipede Lord remarked, standing up from the guest of honor’s seat. “You hold the highest rank here. Please, take your seat.”

Even the Centipede Lord, who had been sitting confidently in the guest seat just moments ago, quickly gave up his place, his six hands gesturing for the woman to sit.

Aora, too, was respectful as he bowed and greeted her.

The captivating woman paid no heed to anyone in the room. She simply sat down.

Behind her stood her discipl, Lady Rosa, who looked on with pride. It was clear to her that her master commanded such respect even from the Five Poison Sect’s Grand Protector and the leaders of the Great Four Envoys. As her disciple, her own position was naturally elevated.

“Why not just disband the Five Poison Sect altogether?

Isabella spoke bluntly, delivering a crushing blow.

Toad King couldn’t believe what he was hearing and shouted in disbelief.

“Of course I know that,” Isabella responded, her voice unwavering. “I am a member of the Five Poison Sect, and more than that, I am your future Matron.”

Isabella spoke slowly, her voice as cold as the steel that could sever all ties: “It is because of this that, with a powerful enemy before us, the only way to ensure your survival is to dissolve the Five Poison Sect and scatter to the winds.”

Toad King’s face changed dramatically. He exchanged a glance with the Scorpion Belle, with whom he had just fought bitterly moments ago.

Clearly, neither of them wanted to dissolve the Five Poison Sect. They had invested so many years into it, and the thought of watching their hard–earned power crumble to dust was unbearable.

But the woman standing before them was Arachnid King. Over twenty years ago, she had adopted the name Redback Assassins, aligning herself with the Holy Fire organization in a scheme of great ambition.

Then, she quickly gestured with her eyes to the three kings, urging them to make their stand.

Isabella, however, did not look at her. Her gaze remained fixed ahead, waiting in silence. She wanted to see if the three kings would be willing to stand together. If in the face of a great enemy, they remained scattered, then the Five Poison Sect was not worthy of survival.

“Acting Matriarch! We are willing to unite. Please don’t disband the Five Poison Sect. We must fight to the death against Mackenzie!”

Toad King was the first to speak, gritting his teeth. After all, he had come here with just this purpose in mind.

“And how will you unite with just yourself?”

Isabella’s voice was frosty.

Toad King hurriedly turned to Scorpion Belle and Centipede Lord, his eyes silently urging them to speak.

Both of them were reluctant.

“Of course, that would be the Acting Matriarch. Who else would take that role?”

Toad King laughed confidently.

Scorpion Belle’s reluctance was even more evident.

Centipede Lord also chimed in, his voice tinged with doubt: “The Spider Wing has already broken off from the Five Poison Sect. Although the Acting Matriarch is the sister of the former Sect Matriarch and the highest–ranking king among us, she is still unfit to lead the sect. Unless-
