Chapter 2212 Fierce Battle!

A grand outdoor banquet was being held in the courtyard of Ken’s mansion. Acting as the host on his behalf, Quintus loudly announced, “Alright, we’ll feast tonight, then board the plane and get some sleep! By the time we wake up, we’ll be in Zovince!”

As for why they supported Mackenzie? That was obvious–she had eradicated the Five Poison Sect, removing a massive tumor from the region. The mountain roads in West End were now safe again.

As the saying goes, roads are the arteries of a nation. With their trade routes secure, the future of West End’s economy looked promising. Supporting Mackenzie was a no–brainer. What was the alternative? Supporting Teddy Tanner and his cronies, who did nothing but make empty promises while lining their own pockets? No way.

commerce!”

After Quintus gave his toast, Ken stood up as well.

He knew many representatives in West End’s Chamber of Commerce had been dissatisfied with him for a long time. Now that he had defected from Teddy’s camp to Mackenzie’s side, he needed to mend those relationships. Otherwise, his position as chairman of the West End Chamber of Commerce might not be secure for long.

Just then, a sudden explosion rocked the estate from outside. One explosion followed another, then another -until the ground trembled beneath them.

“What’s happening?”

“What’s going on?”

The representatives, still in the middle of their meal, instantly descended into panic.

Ken’s face went pale–his worst fears had just come true.

Sure enough, a Wolf Warrior rushed in to report. “General Quintus! We’re under attack! Multiple explosives have been set around the perimeter of the mansion. Fires are breaking out, and we have wounded!”

“Report!”

Before the first soldier could even finish, another hurried in. “General Quintus! Unidentified vehicles are approaching from all directions at high speed! It looks like they’re preparing for a full–scale assault!”

Panic spread among the representatives.

They had assumed the attack on the mountain pass was the end of it. Who would’ve thought Teddy’s forces had another trap waiting for them?

“I told you we should’ve left West End earlier, General Quintus! The longer we stayed, the greater the risk- but you wouldn’t listen!” Ken complained, his voice shrill with fear.

Alas, before he could say another word, Quintus grabbed a roasted chicken’s bum from the table and shoved it straight into Ken’s mouth.

“Shut up, for once! Now, get lost and stay out of the way!”

If Ken weren’t still needed for the vote in Zovince, Quintus would’ve smacked him across the face by now. The guy did nothing but whine, spreading panic instead of solutions.

Ignoring Ken, Quintus grinned, eyes flashing with excitement. “They’ve come just in time! I was afraid no one would show up!”

Then, he barked out orders, “Wolf Warriors, listen up! Defend the mansion! Not a single enemy gets in–not even a d*mn mosquito!

“Logistics team, evacuate the representatives to a safe area inside the main building. Prioritize the wounded -get them treated immediately! Medical team, be on standby. It’s time to fight!”

With that, Quintus and Solana took the lead, charging out to meet the attackers head–on.

Libby hesitated, taking a few steps toward the direction where Quintus had gone. But before she could go any further, one of her companions grabbed her arm. “Libby, where are you going? Didn’t you hear General Quintus‘ orders?”

“But-”

She was still worried about Quintus, but her companion forcibly pulled her back. Even as she was dragged away, she kept glancing over her shoulder, unable to take her eyes off his retreating figure.

Outside the mansion, heavily armed men swarmed out of vehicles, immediately opening fire with machine

guns.

Their intent was crystal clear–kill everyone in sight. No mercy. No exceptions. Even if they took down just one representative, it was still a victory. If they managed to kill three or more, it was an absolute win.

Quintus, raised in the military growing up, immediately recognized their shooting techniques. These .weren’t just ordinary bandits from West End.

They were trained professionals–mercenaries.

This wasn’t a local gang attack. Teddy had deployed his personal soldiers, disguising them as West End bandits so he could wash his hands clean of the massacre afterward.

“Stay sharp! These aren’t regular outlaws–they’re trained combat soldiers! Keep your guard up and take them down!” Quintus shouted.

Grabbing a machine gun, he led the charge himself.

Unlike many skilled martial artists who relied too much on hand–to–hand combat, Quintus never underestimated the power of modern firearms. He was a soldier first. And when it came to battlefield combat, he was just as deadly with a gun as he was with his fists.

With his expert marksmanship and fearless advance, he took down seven or eight enemies in an instant, But the battle was far from easy. More enemy vehicles arrived by the second.

His voice was so loud that Libby, still inside the mansion, heard him.

“Mr. Quintus!”

She was terrified. She had seen him pull off miracles before, but this… this was war. And as the battle raged outside, more and more wounded were carried inside.

The representatives, safely relocated to a secure area, were in shock.

Even experiencing it firsthand, they could hardly believe someone would send a military–grade strike force

to exterminate them.

This wasn’t just an ambush–it was a battlefield.

The level of combat exceeded the intensity of warfare in some of the world’s most unstable nations.

Boom!

A deafening explosion thundered through the estate, which trembled violently from the blast.

“Heh! Now you know not to mess with a real general!” Quintus grinned triumphantly, having just taken down one of the armored assault vehicles. Dusting off his hands, he stood proudly over the smoldering wreckage.

But the battle at the rear of the mansion wasn’t going as smoothly.

Solana and the Wolf Warrior Unit had held the line at first, using her flames in conjunction with suppressive fire. But when the enemy brought in armored vehicles, her fire alone wasn’t enough.

“Captain Solana! Enemy forces have breached our defenses! They’ve entered the mansion!”

“What?!” Solana’s face darkened in shock.

She might not have been able to take down the armored vehicles, but at the very least, she had been keeping the enemy foot soldiers at bay. For them to have slipped past her meant only one thing–martial

artists.

Even the most elite special forces wouldn’t have been able to bypass the Wolf Warriors‘ firepower.

Grinding her teeth, Solana’s voice turned cold. “Aora. The last remnants of the Great Four Envoys… Hmph. About time you showed up. I was worried you wouldn’t dare.”
