The surrounding crowd smirked at his outburst, including those who had just started ascending the mountain. This Chapman kid is still too young!

“Master Lively, rest assured!”

Master Dhyana replied confidently, “Once you reach the halfway checkpoint, you’ll be in the Chapel of -Oros‘ territory, the strongest sect in Chanaea. Without our permission, no one can resort to violence. We

will ensure Mr. Chapman’s safety!”

“Hmph, you’re talking big!” Nathan muttered, ready to fire back.

Gale silenced him with a look before nodding to Master Dhyana. “We appreciate your protection!”

With that, the Chapman family ascended the mountain, marking the arrival of all the Four Great Families.

“D*mn, there’s no signal here!”

Blake frowned as he reached the mountain’s midpoint. He had wanted to post a selfie and flaunt his sharp features. But when he pulled out his phone, he realized it was useless.

Magnus smirked. “You country bumpkin, did you just realize this? The Divine Mountain has restricted communications. Only those with national–level clearance can send messages here.”

“Alright, alright!” Blake waved him off impatiently. “Oh wow, you’re from the city. Of course, you’re sophisticated. Truly amazing of you!”

Then, his expression turned serious. “Magnus, which side are you really on?”

Magnus feigned ignorance. “What side? I only stand on my own side, the side of victory.”

With that, he ignored Blake.

Meanwhile, outside the congress, Emmanuel stood watch near Ethan’s official residence, awaiting updates

from his scouts.

His phone buzzed with a new message.

It was from Aurora.

She and Ostrich were responsible for gathering information and intelligence on the Divine Mountain.

They had compiled a full report on the families and power players who had made their way up the mountain. But one crucial detail had been omitted–the news about Ashton’s captivity.

“Aurora, why didn’t you report that to Commander Lowe as well?” Ostrich asked in confusion.

With his exceptional hearing, he was responsible for collecting intelligence. But when it came to strategy plans, he was about as dense as an iron–headed warrior.

“Ms. Hattie Zelinsky told me not to!” Aurora said with a worried expression.

“Why?” Ostrich was even more confused. “If Commander Lowe finds out, he’ll definitely go to Divine Mountain tomorrow!”

Aurora’s worry deepened. “Can’t you see? It’s a trap. Gautier and Mayor Zelinsky have orchestrated this Grand Hunt. Everyone on that mountain wants Commander Lowe dead. If he charges in blindly, he won’t make it out alive.”

“D*mn it!” Ostrich gritted his teeth. “We’ll take the Wolf Warrior Unit up the mountain with him. Let’s see who dares to touch him.”

Aurora sighed and shook her head. “You don’t get it. Ms. Hattie had informed Madam. The Wolf Warrior Unit won’t even make it into Zovince tomorrow. Even the hundred or so soldiers stationed here will have

their movements restricted.”

“Who has that kind of power? I don’t buy it!” Ostrich was growing increasingly agitated.

Yet, Aurora didn’t answer. She knew that the only way to keep Emmanuel safe was to stop him from going up the mountain at all costs.

Just as Emmanuel finished reading Aurora’s message, he looked up and saw a stunning woman approaching him.

“Mackenzie, what brings you here?” He immediately smiled and stepped forward to greet her.

“You!” Mackenzie poked his forehead playfully. “You’re always worried about others. Have you forgotten about your own wife? I’m the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce now. Of course, I’d be here!”

Emmanuel scratched his head, grinning. “Haha, I thought you’re here for me. I was getting excited!”

She rolled her eyes. “If I wasn’t here for you, do you think I’d just be passing by?”

“Huh?” he straightened his posture. “Mackenzie, what’s wrong?”

Mackenzie sighed. “Do you have to go to Divine Mountain tomorrow?”

Mackenzie’s voice trembled. “Tomorrow, the Imperial Guard will oversee everyone’s safety. This is the Supreme Court Act of Chanaca. Even Ethan can’t overrule it.”

Emmanuel nodded in acknowledgment.

Ezra is gambling his own career to secure Catherine’s election. If the Imperial Guard fails to protect Ethan, Ezra will take the blame but it won’t weaken the Zelinsky family. They have lined up their successor. The person is most likely to be Magnus!

Most people took years to pass the parliamentary examination. But Magnus completed it in just one shot. Not to mention, he even ranks first.

Once Catherine is elected, appointing Magnus to any official position would be legitimate.
