Chapter 2273 Galeâs Last Stand
âItâs him! No mistake about it!â
Fin
Gautierâs face was as cold as ice, his teeth grinding in fury. âThat manâs ultimate goal is to wrest control the Zelinsky family and consolidate power in his own hands. He only pretended to cooperate with Mr. Tanner for personal gain.
âHis real plan was to get Catherine elected as president and transfer authority to himself. Since the chairman is still alive and remains close to Catherine, he betrayed Mr. Tanner at a critical turning point.
Although Gautierâs claims were pure speculation, they seemed plausible enough to stir doubt.
The worst part was that Aoraâs mind was clouded with the thought of avenging Teddy. With Gautier add fuel to the fire, Aoraâs anger reached a boiling point.
âEzra! You wonât leave here alive!â
His arms rose, summoning an energy so fierce it howled like a raging storm.
The powerful gusts blew Ashtonâs hair into disarray, and even Nathan and the others outside were shaker the force.
Who could possibly stand up to him now?
âMr. Verkade, Iâll kill Ezra now! Where is he? Tell me!â Aoraâs eyes burned with fury.
âHeâs in the Chapel of Oros. But hold on!â Gautier placed a firm hand on Aoraâs shoulder to stop him from charging in, then cast a suspicious glance outside the chapel.
Gale felt a sense of dread wash over him.
Aurora, standing nearby, shared the same uneasy feeling, her eyes wide with disbelief. Aora hasnât noticed us yet, but did Gautier spot us?
At that moment, Gautier grabbed a piece of debris and hurled it with terrifying speed in their direction. The debris shot through the air like a missile.
Galeâs eyes widened. Acting on instinct, he shoved Nathan out of harmâs way.
âOut of the way!â Aurora whispered to Ostrich.
They managed to dodge the attack, but the sudden movement made a noise.
âSpying rats? Iâll deal with them!â Aora roared as he charged forward.
âThis is bad! Run, Mr. Chapman!â Gale shouted, pushing Nathan back and urging everyone to flee.
If Nathan and the others could escape, Gale was confident he could hold off Aora long enough to make her own getaway.
Aurora grabbed Nathan to lead him away, but he brushed her off and sprinted toward the temple.
âAshton, Iâm here to save you!â His voice was full of determinationâ¦

Barely conscious, Ashton opened her eyes. Seeing Nathan, her heart stirred â who would have thought this carefree playboy would risk everything for me?
A flood of emotion surged through her like a rising tide.
âMr. Chapman, donât go in! Run!â Gale shouted as he clashed with Aora, but Nathan ignored him.
Ashton had been captured trying to protect him. He could not abandon her now.
I wonât run. Not without Ashton.
Before he could reach her, Gautier stepped into his path, wearing a mocking grin.
âYou lapdog! You traitorous hound! If you donât want to die, get out of my way!â Nathan roared.
âOh, a lapdog? Traitorous hound?â Gautierâs smile widened.
Instead of anger, Gautier burst into laughter. âI like it! Emmanuel is the wolf, and Iâm his wolfhound! A traitorous hound, unbeatable in this world. Yes, Iâll take that title!â
âShameless sc*m!â Nathanâs temper boiled over. He launched an attack without further words.
Gautier had mastered Dragonâs Reversal Essence and was now far stronger than before. Nathanâs attacks were futile.
Seeing Nathan struggling, Aurora and Ostrich rushed to help, but neither was a skilled fighter. Their efforts were barely enough to distract Gautier.
Ostrich tried to shield Aurora from an attack, but Gautier was prepared. He grabbed Aurora, stopping her from using her deadly poison.
âHeh, did you think I wouldnât study Emmanuelâs allies? My master fell to you once and I wonât be caught off guard again!â Gautier sneered.
âLet her go! Come at me instead!â Nathan roared, launching into the Dragon Capture Technique. I donât believe three of us canât beat this halfâcrippled man!
However, Gautierâs superior technique overwhelmed him. Nathan was soon caught by the throat.
âMr. Chapman!â Gale saw Nathan in danger and dove in without hesitation, hoping to free him.
Her actions left him exposed to Aora.
Had they been evenly matched, Gale could have lasted fifty moves and escaped by a hundred, but now, Aora seized the opening and slashed his shoulder.
Blood splattered across the ground.
Despite the injury, Gale gritted his teeth and launched a fierce attack at Gautier.
Though Gautier had improved, he was still no match for Gale. He threw Nathan and Aurora aside and fled.
âRun, Mr. Chapman!â Gale cried, shoving Nathan and Aurora out of the church. He knew he could no longer protect Nathan.
âMaster Lively!â

âAshton!â Nathan wanted to go back in to save him, but luckily Aurora remained calm and forcibly pulled him away, urging, âRun! Galeâs sacrifice will be for nothing if we donât escape!â
Aora did not bother chasing after Nathan and the others. Instead, he focused all his fury on Gale, his claws ripping into Galeâs flesh.
In the past, no one ever believed he could rival the Eight Supremes, even with his impressive skills. But today, he was determined to prove them wrongâhe would take down one of the Eight Supremes with his own hands.
âMaster Lively!â
âAshton!â
Nathan could only watch in agony as Gale fell, an unbearable pain tearing through his heart.
He despised his own weakness. He hated that he couldnât protect the woman he lovedâor his loyal servant. âMaster! When will I ever be strong like you?!â he cried out, his voice filled with anguish and desperation.
At that moment, he understood. Martial strength was the foundation of a powerful life. Wealth alone couldnât shield him from true danger.
Fortunately, Galeâs sacrifice had bought enough time for their escape.
Aora and Gautier had more pressing matters. They did not bother with those they saw as insignificant.
âAora, weâll take down Ezra now and avenge Teddy!â Gautier urged.
âLetâs go!â
Determined to avenge Teddy, Aora did not hesitate.
Before leaving, Gautier made sure no evidence was left behind. He dismembered Galeâs body and scattered the remains along the mountain to ensure no trace remained.
