“Why should we bother?” Yorick spoke up, his voice as cold as ever. “Especially me. I hold nothing but hatred for Chanaea and Artemis Barton’s faction.”

Xylie trembled slightly at his words.

“Lord Dotson, stop pretending,” Hattie interjected, her voice urgent. “If you truly resented Artemis Barton’s faction, you wouldn’t have spared Ethan Hale back at Divine Mountain, The ones you hate are the people who framed you–the very same people working with Ezra! Don’t you see?”

She wasn’t privy to the full details, but her deduction was close enough. Even if Ezra hadn’t orchestrated the whole thing, he was undoubtedly involved.

“I simply didn’t have the chance yet.” Yorick remained indifferent.

“Oh, come on, Yorick! Drop the act! It’s painful to watch” Blake finally stepped forward again, unable to hold back. “We may not talk much, but you’re still my brother. We share the same blood. If I were in your position, I could never serve the Shoiyan! I know your heart was always here. Now that you’re back in Chanaea, fight for it once more–just like you did on the Tocvale battlefield!”
