Love at the Wrong Table Emmanuel Lowe Chapter 444
Love at the Wrong Table
Chapter 444
âI really didnât expect this!â Mackenzie paused for a moment before bursting
into laughter and teased, âAre you naturally skilled at wooing your wife, or did
you take a course on seducing goddesses in the past half month?â
However, Emmanuel remained serious as he replied, âDonât misunderstand
adept at flirting from the beginning, why would he have needed to go on
eighteen blind dates?
Mackenzie narrowed her eyes, enjoying the fact that he could say cheesy
things with such earnestness, even if he seemed utterly oblivious to it
himself.
âHmph, I like going to work early, and you have no say in it! And I expect you
to drive me to work early every day. What can you do about it?â She crossed
her arms and assumed an unreasonable attitude.
What could he do? Of course, he would obediently comply with whatever
unreasonable requests his wife threw at him!
So, before the clock struck 7.00AM, the diligent couple had already entered
the underground parking lot of their residential area. The parking lot felt chilly
in the winter, devoid of any other people.
She breathed onto her hands, dropping hints for Emmanuel. Alas, as the man
was terribly clueless, he didnât catch on to the gesture and continued to look
around, much to her frustration. Did she really have to take the initiative to
hold a manâs hand? Did he truly think she didnât care about maintaining her
goddess-like demeanor? Outrageous! Furthermore, he didnât even open the
car door for her like a gentleman and suddenly sprinted off somewhere!
âThis fool!â Mackenzie was on the verge of cursing but then noticed him
returning, grabbing a man by the collar who had been hiding in the corner,
and forcefully throwing him to the ground.
At this point, she wasnât sure how to evaluate Emmanuel. He might be
absent-minded and clueless, but his observational skills were even sharper
than hers. She hadnât even realized they were being followed! Yet, he seemed
oblivious to her hints, no matter how obvious they were.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel remained unaware of Mackenzieâs disparaging
thoughts. Instead, he found a phone on the man, looked through it, and
questioned, âHiding in the parking lot early in the morning during winter just to
secretly film women. Are you insane?â
Mackenzie furrowed her eyebrows as she stared at the man on the ground,
feeling a sense of familiarity.
âI canât believe you! Although my wife is beautiful, she dresses modestly, not
revealing even an inch of skin. So, what exactly were you trying to capture?
Apologize to my wife right now!â Emmanuel angrily confronted the man, after
finding evidence of him secretly filming Mackenzie on his phone. This
enraged Emmanuel, and he couldnât fathom what kind of fantasies this man
could derive from such actions.
âMr. Lowe, you misunderstood! Iâm not a pervert. The situation is not what you
think!â The man, pressed down by Emmanuel, anxiously tried to explain.
âNot a pervert? Are you going to claim that you were secretly filming me instead?â Emmanuel asked sternly, leaving Mackenzie speechless once
again. The man on the ground stared at him, confused by Emmanuelâs peculiar accusation.
âWho sent you? My mother or grandpa?â Mackenzie, being astute,
immediately deduced the manâs background.
Only then did Emmanuel realize his mistake.
âSpeak up, or I wonât spare you!â Mackenzie demanded coldly.
