Chapter 315
Bogus Billionaire
âItâs the greatest honor for her husband when even his rival in love is acknowledging his worth.â
âI really want to know who Carolineâs husband is!â
Caroline relaxed after hearing Jackâs words.
Thinking about it carefully. Jack had never acted excessively or shown any emotions around her. He had probably already given up on her.
She smiled. âThatâs good.â
However, now wasnât the time to deal with Jack. Caroline turned to look at Vivian, who was sitting on the ground, dazed.
Vivian scratched at a desk with one hand, laughing and murmuring. âEven a fighting champion has a crush on her Haha! Why? Why do so many people like Caroline, while no one likes me? Just why?â
Caroline had seen this behavior on TVâsomeone going insane after getting provoked.
She knelt in front of Vivian. Looking straight into her eyes, she showed Vivian the evidence that she had bribed the judges of the Rosebow Contest.
*These are the transaction records of your payment to the judges of the Rosebow Contest.â
She leaned into Vivianâs ear and whispered. âAlthough the Rosebow Contest is an overseas competition and thereâs no jurisdiction domestically, this evidence proves that you knew youâd be participating with your designs.â
She paused. Facing Vivianâs confused gaze, she continued, âYou knew that your work was in the competition long before the results were out.
âIn other words, you knew that Susan sent your designs to the organizing committee with my email.
You had dumped the blame on Susan before, but you canât run away this time.â
Vivian lost her grip on her desk, and she fell heavily to the ground with a thud. Her face was pale.
Half an hour later, the police arrived and took Vivian away.
Caroline approached Jules and apologized, saying, âIâm really sorry, Mr. Hawkins. I planned to wait until you found a new design director before calling the police about this. But â
That being said, there was no trace of guilt in her tone.
Jules said understandingly, âI should be thanking you. Seeing how insane she became, It would have been bad for Thorne Corp if word about this got out. I didnât expect her to turn out like this, just out of jealousy.â
Caroline didnât say anything in response and led Jack to clean up her office. She didnât have a lot of things there, so she finished packing soon.
Just as she was about to leave. Cheryl opened the door and walked into the office. She looked at Caroline shyly, hesitant to speak.
Ca ted at Jack and ordered, âYou should leave first, Mr. Jack.â
âAllnig Jack went downstairs, carrying a box.
When he got downstairs, he saw Charles standing next to the car. Jack looked at him silently.
Charles hurriedly approached Jack when he saw him. He said, âGood Job, Jack.â
Jack narrowed his eyes when he saw how hard Charles was trying to keep himself from laughing. âYou already knew about this?â
Charles cracked in an instant and burst out laughing. âNo, I just found out.â
After laughing, he kindly comforted him. âYou should be happy, Jack. Youâre the only person who has survived our bossâ wrath despite having a crush on the madam. You can brag about this any time you want.â
Jack thought happily. âOh, itâs all thanks to him that I can live my days happily.â
