Chapter 541

Kirk gripped his phone tighter and asked, “Where are you now?”

“I’m in the northern suburbs following them right now. But I’ve been drugged, and I don’t think my body can take it any longer. You have to get here quickly,” Jack answered.

He was afraid that being just a moment too slow would cause even more mishaps.

He added, “Also, I saw them dump all of the madam’s belongings. I think they’re trying to avoid being tracked. They’re very professional. I can tell at a glance that they’ve been trained.”

Kirk ended the call and turned to head to the basement.

“Have someone track Jack’s location immediately,” he ordered.

Meanwhile, Charles jogged to catch up with Kirk. As he did, he answered, “Yes, sir.”

As they spoke, they arrived at the parking lot. Kirk opened the car door and slipped into the driver’s seat. Not daring to delay, Charles quickly got into the car too.

Charles had assumed that Kirk would speed, but Kirk drove quite steadily. Charles found this unusual and said, “Sir.”

Kirk’s expression was dark. “Speak.”

Charles opened his mouth, but he wasn’t quite sure how to phrase his question.

After a moment, he said, “Aren’t you worried about the madam when she’s been abducted?”

Kirk shot Charles a look, making him realize that he had asked a stupid question.

“Or did you already know that the madam would be abducted?”

“I’m not clairvoyant,” Kirk replied coldly.

Charles grimaced.

Then why in the world was Kirk able to drive so smoothly this time?

Charles wanted desperately to know. But he couldn’t ask about it, so he could only keep his mouth shut.

In reality, Kirk was driving quite quickly. It only seemed normal because he used to speed like The car carrying Caroline arrived at a mountain. It was an abandoned place that no one lived in.

The men got out of the car and carried Caroline up the mountain.

Daphne and Jane were waiting at the mountaintop. When they saw Caroline, their expressions became joyful.

“Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Morrison,” Liam was very polite to the two women.

“We’ve captured Caroline for you.”

Jane looked at Caroline, who had been thrown onto a pile of grass. She praised Liam, saying, “Good job.”

Daphne stepped forward and asked casually, “Were you discovered?”

Liam replied, “Don’t worry, Mrs. Morrison. No one saw us. However, her driver got away.”

Liam treated Daphne with even more respect than he did Jane. In his eyes, Daphne had more clout as the wife of Eddy’s second uncle than Jane, who was Howard’s wife.

After all, she was part of the Morrison family, and her husband was the wealthiest person overseas.

Before Daphne, the Collins family was nothing.

However, Daphne’s expression changed when she heard what Liam said.

“How can you say that no one saw you if the driver got away?”

Liam could only chuckle. “He’s just a driver. So he got away. It’s not like he can come back and save Caroline!”

Jane wasn’t worried about the/driver, either. “Mr. Mackey is right. Even if he’s a loyal dog, he can’t ask for help anyway. Do you think he could contact the Morrison family for help?”

After she said this, both she and Liam laughed.

Yet Daphne’s face got paler and paler. She couldn’t tell them the truth–that Caroline was actually Kirk’s wife.
