Chapter 590
Bogus Billionaire
Aurora fell silent after that.
Caroline was sure that Aurora couldnât care less about what her fans thought of her.
As someone who had superb acting skills and had produced dozens of films, Aurora never needed to worry about losing her fansâ support.
Her skills in acting were like an unlimited pass that granted her whatever she wished for.
Caroline had merely mentioned the possibility of losing her fansâ support to test the waters.
âHurry up and call the cops then. We donât have time to lose.â She quirked an eyebrow.
âDonât cry for mercy when the cops arrive!â Amy yelled. Carolineâs demeanor made her even more pissed, and she immediately dialed 911.
Just as the call was answered, Caroline said, âDonât worry about that. I wonât cry. I just wonder if the Hacketts will cry out of desperation when they hear of this.
âAfter all, Ms. Jenner and the Hacketts are quite close.â
Auroraâs expression shifted a little at Carolineâs words. She snatched the phone from Amyâs hands, smashed it onto the ground, and crushed it under her feet.
Amy turned so pale that murmured, âRory-â
âWho are you?â Aurora snapped as she stared daggers at Caroline.
âMy identity is of no significance. Whatâs important right now is for you two to apologize to my friend.â
âCaroline â¦â Cheryl muttered under her breath in an attempt to stop Caroline. She didnât have the guts to have a renowned actress humbly apologize to her.
Even if an actress like Aurora said sorry, she could rant about it on social media the next instant.
Then, all her fans would start a round of cyberbullying to teach Cheryl a lesson.
Despite that, Aurora maintained an indifferent attitude.
âWho do you think you are?â She spoke slowly. The arrogant words were a stark contrast to her beautiful facial features.
Caroline raised her eyes to meet Auroraâs. âI saw it just now. My friend had been standing at the door of the fitting room.
âShe had been there first, yet you two had wanted it to yourselves. She didnât take away that space from you. Am I right, Cheryl?â
Cheryl nodded. âYes. I reached the room before they did, but that woman insisted that I was the one who was being unreasonable.â Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke.
To be honest, she had been a fool for being fearful and admitting that it had been her fault just because Amy yelled at her.
With this in mind, Cheryl straightened her back, no longer that timid anymore.
Amy sneered when she heard Cheryl. âYeah, yeah. So what if you came here first? Nobody knows you.
âRoryâs different. Sheâs famous all around the world. You should count your blessings that you managed to meet her today.
âYet all youâre thinking about is having the fitting room to yourself instead of letting her use it.â
Stunned, Cheryl was at a loss for words. She was younger than the other women here, after all, and had much less experience dealing with unreasonable people like these two.
A moment later, she muttered, âSo what if youâre famous? Itâs not like you managed to get a role in one of Marietta Weissâ plays!â
Cheryl simply blurted those words without putting much thought into them. However, it was an entirely different story for some others who were listening.
A shadow crept across Auroraâs face after she heard what Cheryl said.
Failing to get a role in Mariettaâs works had always been one of her greatest regrets. Besides, she had returned to Easton because she had heard that Marietta was here as well.
She had rushed back to try her luck at meeting Marietta. Who knew that she would meet two incorrigible people here instead?
âCall the cops now. I want the two of them locked up.â Auroraâs face contorted with rage.
Just then, a voice sounded from behind them. âWhatâs the matter, Carrie? Why didnât you come back to the lounge after so long?â
