Simon had bought a photo of Kirk in a secret market overseas, and it was a very clear photo.

After getting the photo, Jude had been eager to call Caroline. He wanted to catch Kirk off guard so that he would have no way to defend himself.

Caroline groggily massaged her temples. “Grandpa, I didn’t go to work today.”

Jude was stunned. “You’re not at work? Then, where are you?”

“I’m at home. Is there something urgent you need from me?”

Jude’s nervous tone instantly softened. “Oh, haha. It’s not an emergency. I just miss you. Why don’t I come visit you at your home?”

“No problem.” Caroline gave Jude her address.

After Jude heard it, he mused, “Aren’t your parents staying in this district? Do you live there too?”

Jude had bought Sarah and Dan’s house for them, so he clearly remembered where it was. As far as he knew, the houses in that district costed a lot.

Caroline had always said that her husband was just a regular worker.

A white–collar worker wouldn’t be able to afford a villa. Buying a villa there wouldn’t be possible, even if Caroline had bought this house herself.

Jude knew Caroline’s financial situation. All the Evans family’s money was in Sarah and Dan’s possession, so Caroline didn’t have much money on her.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have faced so much trouble buying him a birthday gift.

Her financial situation hadn’t improved until she had taken over Evans Group and brought it back on its feet. So Caroline’s husband was the only one who could have bought this villa.

Jude shuddered at the thought.

However, Caroline didn’t know what Jude was thinking. She asked sweetly, “Yes, I do. When are you coming over, Grandpa? I’ll go get ready.”

Jude calmed down. Then, he looked down at the photo in his hand, shivering when he saw Kirk’s piercing gaze.

After he left, Caroline slept for less than an hour before a phone call woke her again. The caller was none other than Jude.

Caroline sat up and answered the phone, “Grandpa…”

Jude held Kirk’s photo in his hand and asked with a smile, “Carrie, are you free today? I’ll come visit you at Evans Group.”

Jude had originally had given up hope on getting a photo of Kirk. He hadn’t expected Simon to be this capable.
