“Bring Ms. Evans out.”

Upon seeing this text message, the new chairman wiped the sweat from his forehead. He approached Caroline and said, “Let’s get out of here for now, Ms. Evans.”

Caroline glanced at Layla, who was still fighting in the audience. After some thought, she nodded. And so, they left the venue through the back door.

Jack was already waiting there in his car. The chairman opened the door for Caroline. “Ms. Evans, here’s my business card. Feel free to call me if you need anything.”

Caroline had no intention of dealing with the chairman. She simply nodded half–heartedly in response, took the business card, and got in the car.

As the new chairman watched the departed car, he took his phone out again. That text message was still there.

He looked at the phone number, lost in thought. Could this number belong to SY Group’s president?

Caroline had managed to win the rights to Collins Group because her backer was SY Group’s president. After thinking about it, the new chairman decided to save the number.

In the car, Jack glanced worriedly at Caroline in the back seat. Just now, Kirk had asked him to wait for Caroline at the bank’s back entrance.

Caroline thought of her lost memories. “Mr. Jack, do you know where Dr. Caldwell is?”

Jack nodded. “Yeah.”

“Take me to him.”

Jack hesitated for a moment. Then, he turned the car around and drove to the hotel where Michael was staying.

At the hotel, Caroline knocked on Michael’s door. Once the door opened, she got straight to the point.

“Dr. Caldwell, if I had undergone hypnosis before and shut away my memories, can you help me get my lost memories back?”

Michael was a little stunned. He looked at Jack behind her and said, “Didn’t your husband tell you? There are three ways to deal with your situation. The first way is to hypnotize you again.

“But since you’ve been hypnotized before and we have no way of knowing what methods they used, doing this may seal all your memories. The second way is shock therapy-”

“Hang on.” Caroline pressed her temples.

“You already prepared my treatment plan and told my husband about it?”

Michael noticed something amiss. He looked at Caroline and asked awkwardly, “You don’t know about this yet?”

Caroline smiled. “It seems like there are quite a lot of things I’m not aware of.”

With that said, she pushed Michael away, walked into the room, and sat on the couch. “Come here and tell me about those three options.”
