Upon seeing that, Gwen teased, “What? Are you that scared I’ll eat Eddy up?” She smiled.

Caroline smiled, thinking that these words seemed familiar.

However, she didn’t remember when Gwen had teased her like that.

“What else? I just told him to treat you well.”

Gwen walked in front of Caroline and caressed her cheek. “Carol, you need to tell me if he dares to mistreat you.”

Caroline asked, “I … Gwen, why do I feel like Eddy has changed? He never cared about me before, let alone bring me roses.

“But today… Did something happen before I lost my memories? He’s changed so much.”

Gwen felt her heart ache when she heard her words. She wanted to tell Caroline about how Eddy had wanted to take her kidney in exchange for marrying her so badly.

“Nope. Nothing much happened. I think Eddy’s changed because of your car crash. It probably made him think about how losing you felt. He finally realized how important you are.”

Gwen sat down beside Caroline. “Why? Don’t you like the change?”

“That’s not it. It’s just that he changed too fast, so I can’t seem to adjust to it at this point.”

Gwen smiled with tears in her eyes, “Perhaps you’ll get used to it in a while.”

If it hadn’t been for the person in that black car, Caroline would have been dead right now.

“Carol.” Gwen lowered her gaze.

A smile appeared on Eddy’s face. He reached out and gently stroked her hair, pushing by the strands that had fallen over her forehead.

“I’m saying that you should move into my house after you get discharged.” He looked at Caroline nervously and excitedly.
