Chapter 791
Bogus Billionaire
At the last moment, Kirk still held back his punch, so his fist only grazed Seanâs nose.
Having dodged a bullet, Sean patted his chest. He looked at Kirk incredulously. âKirk, are youââ
Kirk looked coldly at Sean, silencing him immediately. He threw away his boxing gloves, jumped out of the boxing ring, and headed for the changing room.
As Jack watched Kirk leave, he couldnât help but move closer to Sean and whisper, âDr. Yates, what should we do now? Are we just going to let him spiral even further?â
âWhat else can we do? Do you have any better ideas?â Sean asked helplessly.
Jack sighed, âI never thought sir would be hurt in a relationship.â-
âHeâs also a human, you know.â Just as Sean sighed, he spotted Kirk, whohad already changed his clothes and walked out of the changing room.
Sean quickly approached him. âAre you going home now?â
Kirk didnât answer him. He simply walked toward the door. Sean and Jack were worried about him and followed him into the car.
Fortunately, it was already late at night, and there werenât many cars on the road. Otherwise, Kirk would have caused an accident from how recklessly he drove.
Half an hour later, they arrived at a bar. Before Sean and Jack could figure out what was happening, Kirk had already gotten out of the car and walked into the bar.
After entering the bar, he strode toward the private room. It was evident that he was a regular there.
When the bar owner saw Kirk arrive, he greeted him with a smile. âSir, do you want the usual?â
Kirk said, âGive me twice as much.â
The ownerâs eyes lit up at his words. âAll right! The guests in room 107 will get twice the booze!â
At first, neither Sean nor Jack knew what that entailed.
Then, the waiters placed bottle/after bottle of alcohol on the table, piling them up and soon spreading them as far as the floor.
Only then did they understand why the owner had looked so excited, as if he had seen a gold mine.
After selling so many drinks, they probably didnât have to worry about their sales this year.
Sean grabbed one of the waiters. âDoes he come here often?â
The waiter was a woman. She blushed and didnât dare to look at Sean at all. âYes.â
Seanâs expression shifted at her words, and he turned to look at Kirk. Kirk had already opened a bottle of alcohol and started drinking.
Sean was so angry that he walked up to his friend and grabbed the bottle.
Upon seeing this, Jack hurriedly drove the waiters out and closed the door.
âKirk, we know that you feel terrible. Thatâs why we donât say anything when you go nuts. Not just that but we also indulged you. But Iâve realized that it wonât do you any good if I keep doing that.â
Kirk was still holding the air where the bottle used to be. His voice turned cold as he ordered, âGive it to me!â
Sean shivered at his tone, but he still held the bottle tightly. âI know youâre devastated, and thereâs nothing I can say to soothe your pain. But if you hurt yourself like this, donât you think the Caroline who didnât lose her memories would feel distressed to see you like this?â
âI think the madam would feel distressed even if she has lost her memory,â Jack said weakly.
All of a sudden, both Sean and Kirkâs eyes landed on him.
Seeing this, Jack couldnât be bothered about his place as a subordinate anymore.
He said earnestly, âShe has forgotten about you, but thereâs no way sheâll forget the emotions seated deeply in her heart.
âOne day, sheâll definitely follow her heart and remember you again. If you give up on yourself, how will you face her in the future?â
Jackâs words rendered the two men speechless.
After a long while, Kirkâs hoarse voice echoed in the private room. âWill she really remember me?
