After she spoke a little more with Shen Jie and Yi Qinghang, Qiao Qing went back to the resting area.

Qiao Qing was thinking of an excuse when the door opened.

After the door opened, all the actresses watched expectantly as Shen Jie walked out.

“Thank you everyone for your hard work. I also thank you for being interested in this production. I hope the person we chose will join our team and work with us over the next while.”

“Those who aren’t chosen, don’t be discouraged. I look forward to working with you in the future.”

“Based on the performance of the auditions, actor Yi and I have chosen number 45. Number 45, please stay. Others, you may leave.”

Shen Jie’s words generated a wave of sighs.

Everyone excessively checked their numbers then walked away, disappointed.

There were also some people who chose to stay in order to see who number 45 was.

Lin Xiyan stared at the number in her hand and her lips parted in shock, “Qingqing, am I dreaming? They really chose me?”

Qiao Qing patted her head, “Be confident. You’re great.”

Just then, Shen Jie shouted again, “Number 45, Lin Xiyan, come up.”

Only then did Lin Xiyan finally realize what was happening. She was about to walk up when someone blocked her way.

The word “ugly” was too light of a word to describe Fu Siying’s current face.

She looked over to Lin Xiyan, then back to Shen Jie, “Director Jie, are you joking?! You’re choosing an inexperienced and brand new actor for such a popular and difficult project?!”

Shen Jie replied, “Why do I need to ask for your permission over who I pick? Plus, even though she’s only been an extra, she’s done far better than you.”

“You!” Fu Siying’s face felt like it’s been slapped. It hurt, “Even if it’s not me, it shouldn’t be her! Actress Bai is here also. Was her performance also not as good?!”

Then, she walked over to Bai Weiwei, who hasn’t left, “Actor Bai, aren’t you going to say something? That girl is just an extra who worked with me on a film back in the City of Brisk.”

“You’re a famous actress! How is it possible that your acting skill isn’t as good as a young girl’s? Don’t you think it’s fishy that director Shen chose someone like her over you?”

Bai Wewei looked over to Lin Xiyan, then glanced over to Qiao Qing. Finally, she looked back at Fu Siying and said, “I trust director Shen’s character. He must have his own reasons for choosing who he chose. There’s no need for you to wield me as a weapon.”

Then, Bai Weiwei headed out the door.
