Chapter 544: Finally, Ms. Qiao is no Longer Alone

Just as those guys inhaled hard due to shock, Qi Yusen, Jun Yexuan, Mu Jinghang, and Qi Yeli walked over. Behind them was a group of police.

Qi Yeli made a gesture, “Get them all!”

The group of police came up with handcuffs and cuffed everyone.

One person who was on the ground tried to get up and escape. However, he was captured right away by one of Qiao Qing’s protectors. He was then brought over to Qi Yusen.

Qi Yusen questioned him harshly, “Who sent you?”

The person didn’t answer.

Jun Yexuan smiled and nodded, “He’s loyal. Go loosen up his bones a bit.”

“Third... third young master Jun. I’ll tell you!” The man quickly caved, “A... A girl sent me.”

Everyone exchanged glances. Then, Qi Yeli took out a photo, “Is it her?”

The person instantly nodded, “That’s her!”

Qi Yeli demanded, “What did she ask you to do?”

The man began to perspire at this point, “She asked... asked us to take that girl’s life.”

Everyone was shocked to hear that. Mu Jinghang grunted, “I heard that girl’s around the same age as Qingqing? How can someone so young be so evil?”

Jun Yexuan’s grin remained cold, “Just how much money did she pay you to give you guys the guts to touch my woman?”

The person’s sweat began to roll down his face, “... $50M...”

“For $50M, you’re willing to squat in jail for the rest of your life. What a deal.” Jun Yexuan then stopped acknowledging the man.

He turned to Qi Yusen and chuckled, “The Qi family sure is rich. Even for an adopted daughter, they dare to be this generous. If Qingqing is admitted into the family, does that mean the Qi family will continue to adopt abandoned orphan girls? Qingqing won’t even be able to sleep in peace when that happens.”

Qi Yusen’s expression was just as frigid, “That won’t happen.”

Qi Yeli also frowned deeply, “Take them away!”

After the men were taken away, everyone ended up going with Qiao Qing to request time off at school. Then, they returned home together as well.

Qiao Qing packed up at home and found that a helicopter awaited her outside her laboratory.

Everyone got into the helicopter and flew to the City of Brisk. They landed directly on top of the city hospital.

When they got off, Qiao Qing first called He Wanqing but the call didn’t connect.

She frowned but didn’t think too much since she was going home soon anyway.

She turned her head and said to Jun Yexuan and Qi Yusen, “Let’s go visit dad.”

The two men nodded.

The trio went to the VIP private room on the 27th floor.

The nurse on duty was surprised to find Qiao Qing here with two other people.

As if she was comforted, she smiled, “Finally, Ms. Qiao is no longer alone.”

Those words made Qi Yusen and Jun Yexuan’s nose feel stuffy.

That one statement had made them realize just how much unimaginable weight Qiao Qing had once carried on her shoulders.

She was only 18 this year. When everything happened, she was only a kid.

The moment they got into the hospital room, both Jun Yexuan and Qi Yusen felt Qiao Qing’s aura change.

Though they were close, Qiao Qing had always emitted a mature vibe.

The moment she entered this room, however, she seemed to have let down all her guard and could act like a kid again.

Jun Yexuan and Qi Yusen exchanged glances. They both felt could feel how bitter the other person felt.

That’s right. As much as they felt for Qiao Qing, they were jealous of the man that laid in bed and even hated him.
