My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball Chapter 1405âIt was already dark before they knew it.
Byron had driven Rosalie to her business trip, bought presents, and helped her take things into the villa. Thus, Rosalie naturally invited him to dinner.
After dinner, he played with the kids for a while before deciding to head back home.
âItâs getting late. I might have to leave now. Estieâ¦â
Before finishing his sentence, he heard the little girl protesting, âEstie wants to be with Mommy!â
Byron glanced at Estelle and continued. âEstie can stay at your place for now. If youâre busy, let me know and I can take the children to my place.â
Lucianâs and Noxâs eyes lit up in excitement.
They were smart enough to catch the point in Byronâs words.
Their daddy said âchildren,â so that included them.
They could not call him âDaddy,â but he had already taken them as his kids.
The little onesâ hearts were filled with joy when they realized this.
Estelle was delighted and satisfied to hear she could stay with her mommy.
Rosalie caressed Estelleâs face and agreed with a smile. âIâll take good care of Estie.â
Byron smiled. âI know.â
Even if she did nothing and just stayed with Estelle, the little girl would already be delighted.
Byron headed straight back to the manor once he left Rosalieâs place.
As soon as he entered the house, he saw Melody in the living room, looking upset.
âWhy are you here?â
Byronâs smile faded, and he sat expressionlessly on the single sofa opposite his mother.
Hearing her sonâs question, Melodyâs eyebrows furrowed. âCanât I visit? Iâm Estieâs grandma. Is there any problem with me visiting my granddaughter?â
Byron glanced at her and said, âEstie isnât at home. Sheâs at her mommyâs place.â
He spoke as if he and Rosalie were just a couple in a loving relationship temporarily separated from each other.
Melody was even more displeased now.
âWe worked so hard to raise Estie. That woman hasnât cared about Estie since she gave birth to her.
Iâve done you a favor by promising to let Estie acknowledge her as her mother, but you even sent Estie there? What are you trying to do?â
To her, Estelle had grown up healthy and obedient not because of Rosalie.
No matter how nice Rosalie was to Estelle, it was pointless since she had not taken care of Estelle when Estelle needed her the most.
Byron frowned. âRosie is Estieâs mother. Moreover, there was a misunderstanding back then, and I believe youâve heard of it. Rosie thought Estie was dead.â
Melody snorted. âWho knows if what she said is true? I wonât be surprised by Rosalieâs excuses now since she dumped Estie back then.â
Byron felt his mother was being unreasonable.
Melody knew her son would be unhappy with her saying that. Hence, she tried to put her words differently.
âBesides, I grew up watching Estie. Wonât I, as her grandmother, miss her? What should I do if I miss Estie if you leave Estie in that Jacobs womanâs place?â
Displeased, Byron retorted, âYouâve visited Estie so many times since she was born. It makes no difference visiting her one time lesser. Her illness is stabilized now, and she needs Rosie. Itâd be better if you donât visit Estie because sheâll recover better without you.â
