Chapter 1703 Go To The Hospital
My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball
âYouâre just getting better and havenât fully recovered.â
Byronâs eyebrows were knitted, and he disagreed.
Rosalie patiently explained, âI know what Iâm doing. I can get out of bed and walk now.â
The two were in a standoff.
After debating for a while, Byron compromised. âYou canât leave the hospital. If youâre worried, I can ask Luther to bring them to the hospital.â
Rosalie hesitated upon hearing that suggestion. âTheyâll know Iâm ill if they come here.â
She did not want to worry the kids.
.
Byron pondered momentarily and suggested, âJust say you got a cold and fever after getting off the plane, and I asked you to go to the hospital. Theyâre kids and wonât know much.â
Rosalie did not think it was a good idea. However, she agreed since Byron had said so.
Byron called Luther immediately.
Luther had just sent Mary and Chloe back. Just as he parked the car below the hospital, he got a call from Byron.
âSir, Iâve driven Miss Lincoln and Miss Wilson back home.â
Luther reported as soon as the call went through.
âOkay. Please go to the manor again this evening and fetch the children.â
Luther froze. âDidnât you say we should keep the little lady and masters from knowing this?â
Would they not be letting them know Rosalie was ill by bringing them to the hospital?
Byron did not deny it. âWhen you pick them up, tell them Rosie caught a fever when she got off the plane and is in the hospital.â
Luther said nothing more since Byron had decided and thought of a plan.
When it was almost time, Luther headed to Lawrence Manor.
The car pulled over at the manor, and the three little ones approached excitedly.
Their smiles faded when they saw it was Luther. âUncle Luther, itâs you!â
Luther noticed the kidsâ expressions and felt sorry for them. âLetâs go, Iâll take you to your daddy and mommy.â
The little ones had broad smiles on their faces. However, they were soon disappointed. âMommy asked us to wait for her at home.â
Lucian looked at Luther and asked, âUncle Luther, did something happen to Mommy?â
Otherwise, why would their mommy not pick up their calls for days and even ask Luther to pick them up?
Nox and Estelle felt uneasy upon hearing their brotherâs question. They stared at Luther, waiting for an answer.
Luther felt guilty facing the kidsâ gazes, but he had to answer their question.
âIt is not that serious. While returning, Mrs. Lawrence caught a fever, and Mr. Lawrence took her to the hospital for a check-up. You guys donât have to worry about it.â
The little ones did not quite believe it.
Luther could only say, âIf you guys are worried, why donât you go to the hospital? If something has happened to Mrs. Lawrence, why would they ask me to drive you guys there?â
The kidsâ believed him reluctantly and informed Mrs. Zora before they left.
They were worried and in a moody state all the way to the hospital.
Luther felt guilty and sighed silently, not knowing how to comfort the kids.
The little ones had no idea they almost lost their mommy a day agoâ¦
