Chapter 1752 Absconding

“You!”

Anger shot through Old Master Lancer, and it triggered his heart attack. His vision turned black, and he almost passed out again.

The assistant quickly held him upright. “Old Master Lancer, I'm telling the truth! No one can stop Mr.

Lancer from doing what he wants to do. Please take care of your health. The Lancer family needs you!”

The assistant spoke as he patted Old Master Lancer’s back.

Old Master Lancer’s chest heaved violently. His face had turned pale, and his lips were purplish because he almost lost breath.

The assistant quickly took the pills and fed them to Old Master Lancer. Soon, Old Master Lancer felt better.

“Are you telling the truth?’

After recovering, Old Master Lancer’s anger subsided gradually. He looked at the assistant sadly, trying to get an answer.

The assistant nodded warily.

“How ironic…” Old Master Lancer shook his head sadly. “The Lancer family has been doing good deeds for generations. Why did Xander turn out to be a despicable person?”

Then, Old Master Lancer apologized to the assistant, “It seems I misunderstood you, but why didn’t you tell me he was doing this behind my back?”

Looking at Old Master Lancer’s disappointed expression made the assistant feel bad. “Old Master Lancer, I couldn't do anything. I'm only an assistant. I would never dare to defy Mr. Lancer’s order.”

Old Master Lancer nodded and sighed. “Where is that bastard? Tell him to come to me! He has to give me an explanation for this matter. Otherwise, I'd disappoint the ancestors of the Lancer family for bringing up such an heir.”

The assistant hesitated as he said, “Mr. Lancer…”

Old Master Lancer asked upon noticing the assistant’s hesitation. “Where is he?”

“Mr. Lancer must have already left Coast City. If he didn't leave, I’m afraid he might have to go to prison….”

The assistant replied guiltily.

Before, Xander had passed out as anger rushed through him. However, he was conscious for a while.

During that time, he arranged for his assistant to look for Old Master Lancer, saying only Old Master Lancer could save the Lancer family from this situation.

As for Xander, he left the hospital that night and arranged his transportation. Then, he absconded before things got serious.

Hearing Xander had escaped made Old Maser Lancer’s rage explode within him. “He absconded just like that? How dare the bastard leave after causing all this trouble?! I was blind to have chosen him as the Lancer family’s heir.”

Old Master Lancer was trembling with rage.

If Xander could repent, apologize to the public, and plead guilty, they might be able to save the Lancer family’s reputation.

However, that bastard absconded!

That was putting the Lancer family in an irreversible disaster!

Old Master Lancer lamented as he thought of the Lancer family’s fate.

The assistant said defiantly, “Old Master Lancer, Lawrence Corporation…”

He wanted to ask Old Master Lancer to speak to Byron about it. Byron might show some mercy.

However, oOd Master Lancer snapped.

“He wouldn't have attacked the Lancer family for no reason! If that bastard had run Lancer Corporation by the same standards as before, these scandals wouldn't exist. If Lawrence Corporation did not attack us this time, Xander might have done something worse.”
